From firmware to high-power distribution, this is as real as engineering gets. You will:\nDevelop and test embedded software and firmware for flight-critical and ground systems (C/C++, Python)\n\nDesign, build, and test high-power electronics such as power distribution, battery systems, and motor drives\n\nIntegrate sensors, actuators, and robotic/autonomous subsystems into the aircraft and ground equipment\n\nDevelop tools for test automation, data logging, and analysis\n\nBring up, debug, and validate hardware on the bench and during flight tests\n\nDocument designs, code, and test results for certification purposes\n\nAbout You\nYou enjoy writing code as much as holding an oscilloscope probe or a soldering iron. You're the type who builds things outside class and wants to take that to the next level. You likely:\nAre currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, software/computer engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or similar\n\nHave programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python\n\nHave a solid understanding of electronics and circuit design\n\nEnjoy hands-on lab work, prototyping, and debugging real hardware\n\nAre curious about UAVs, robotics, or high-performance systems\n\nAre proactive, independent, and eager to learn fast\n\nNice to have:\n–Experience with power electronics, high-voltage systems, motor control, or battery management systems (BMS)\n\n–Experience with embedded platforms (STM32, ARM, etc.), RTOS, or communication buses (CAN, UART, SPI, I²C)\n\n–Exposure to ROS, PX4/ArduPilot, or control and autonomy algorithms\n\n–PCB design experience (KiCad, Altium, etc.)\n\nAbout Acodyne\nWe are a UAS company developing heavy-lift, high-speed eVTOL UAS for defence and industrial logistics. We are currently 18 people, based at our workshop at Avedøre Airfield, and plan to double our team in the next year.\n\nAbout the Internship\nDuration: Full-time for 5–6 months, with start in January/February 2027.\n\nTime off: 2.08 vacation days per month + Danish public holidays.\n\nLocation: Avedøre Flyveplads, workshop-based, approximately 45 minutes by public transport from Copenhagen city center.\n\nCompensation: DKK 6,000 per month before tax. Please note this is a contribution to living and transport. It will likely not cover full living costs. Interns are expected to supplement with grants or other funding.\n\nVisa: Acodyne is unfortunately not able to help obtain a work visa.
