The role has a strong focus on financial statement preparation, balance sheet management, Profit & Loss reporting, income statement analysis, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.\nThe successful candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to understand the relationship between the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Income Statement, identify variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide meaningful financial insights to management.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Statement Preparation & Reporting\nPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nPrepare and maintain Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Income Statement reports.\nReview financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.\nPerform detailed analysis of financial statement accounts and investigate unusual movements or discrepancies.\nPrepare supporting schedules and working papers for financial reporting.\nEnsure financial reports are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.\nBalance Sheet Management\nMaintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, including:\nAccounts receivable and payable\n\nCash and bank accounts\n\nPrepayments and accruals\n\nFixed assets and depreciation\n\nLoans and other liabilities\n\nIntercompany balances\n\nEquity and retained earnings\n\nPerform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly.\nMonitor account movements and identify potential errors, omissions, or unusual transactions.\nMaintain accurate supporting documentation for all Balance Sheet accounts.\nProfit & Loss / Income Statement\nPrepare and review monthly Profit & Loss and Income Statement reports.\nAnalyse revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, gross profit, EBITDA/operating profit, and other key financial metrics.\nConduct month-on-month and budget-versus-actual variance analysis.\nInvestigate significant variances and provide explanations to management.\nIdentify trends and financial movements that may impact business performance.\nEnsure revenue and expenses are accurately recognised in the appropriate accounting period.\nMonth-End & Year-End Close\nManage accounting activities during the month-end and year-end closing process.\nPrepare journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and other month-end adjustments.\nComplete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly supported.\nReview the trial balance before financial statements are finalised.\nWork closely with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding accounting issues and meet reporting deadlines.\nFinancial Analysis & Business Support\nProvide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.\nExplain key movements in the financial statements in a clear and commercially relevant manner.\nAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting accuracy, and accounting processes.\nSupport management with ad hoc financial reporting management\nKey Skills & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience\nStrong hands-on experience preparing Balance Sheet, P&L, and Income Statement reports.\nExperience with month-end and year-end financial close.\nStrong account reconciliation and variance analysis skills.\nGood understanding of accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and journal entries.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify financial discrepancies.\nProficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft
