In this role, you will:\nDesign and develop embedded firmware solutions for next-generation security products.\nCollaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams to deliver reliable, high-performance embedded systems.\nDrive innovation by optimising embedded architectures and adopting emerging technologies.\nWhat You’ll Do\nIn addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:\nDesign, develop, and implement embedded systems and firmware for microprocessor and microcontroller-based applications.\nDevelop and optimise real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal embedded software.\nCollaborate with hardware and QA engineers to integrate embedded solutions into product designs.\nWrite, maintain, and optimise efficient, well-documented code in C and C++.\nConduct testing, debugging, and validation activities to ensure system robustness and reliability.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and embedded development best practices.\nStay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in embedded systems, firmware development, and microprocessor technologies.\nWhat You'll Bring\nTo succeed in this role, you'll need:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.\nProven experience developing embedded systems, firmware, and microprocessor/microcontroller-based solutions.\nStrong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.\nHands-on experience using hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and JTAG debuggers.\nExperience working with ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers and processors.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.\nExperience with wireless communication protocols and interfaces.\nWorking knowledge of Agile development methodologies.\nDesirable:Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and real-time system constraints.\nExperience with PCB design and schematic review.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.\nWhat’s in It for You\nWe strive to do more than just match your ambitions - when you join Acre, you’ll have access to a range of exciting opportunities:\nBe part of a disruptor - Help move security forward with a company that challenges the status quo and redefines industry standards.\nLearn from industry leaders - Work alongside experts and innovators driving real change in security technology.\nDrive meaningful impact - Your work will directly contribute to pioneering security technologies that protect businesses and communities worldwide.\nAdvance your career - Access professional development opportunities, including training programmes, mentorship, and industry events.\nEnjoy competitive rewards - We offer a competitive compensation package, performance-based incentives, and a comprehensive benefits programme that reflects your contributions.\nJoin the Future of Security\nAt Acre, we’re moving security forward.
