The position emphasizes collaboration with clients, engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects that meet regulatory standards.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nProject Design and Development\nDesign and construction for stormwater systems, water/wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems.\n\nDesign, and construction support for municipal and private development projects such as green infrastructure, sediment and erosion control, utility services, construction details, stormwater management, wastewater systems and grading design.\n\nPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using tools like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.\n\nGenerate H&H reports detailing modeling process, results, recommendations, and their compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\n\nConduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for utility projects.\n\nLead plan set development to ensure the plans convey the design intent and meet the goals of the project\n\nTechnical Duties\nProvide technical support on water resources or treatment issues to government agencies.\n\nConstruction project specific cost estimating, development of project specifications, and preparation of bid documents\n\nPreform water quality studies to identify and characterize water pollutant sources.\n\nCompliance & Permitting\nPrepare permit applications, including EPA PTI, stormwater management plans, floodplain permits, NPDES permits, and other regulatory compliance documentation.\n\nEnsure all designs comply with industry codes, standards, and regulations\n\nCommunication & Collaboration\nCollaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to deliver projects within scope and budget\n\nDeliver client-focused solutions by ensuring project milestones are met, building strong relationships, and maintaining rigorous quality standards\n\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.\n\nOhio Professional Engineer (PE) license or E.I. with the ability to obtain P.E. within 12 months.\n\nExperience:\nA minimum of 3 years in Site/Civil Engineering\n\nAbility to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions and the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil engineering-related projects including stormwater and hydraulic design.\n\nFamiliarity with GIS software\n\nExperience working with municipal, state, or federal clients.\n\nKnowledge of industry standards, such as ASCE, AWWA, and EPA regulations.\n\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nProficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.\n\nDesign experience with grading/site design, green infrastructure, and/or stormwater management.\n\nDesired Skills:\nExcellent technical writing and presentation abilities.\n\nAbility to work independently and in team settings.\n\nPassionate about their community and their profession; eager to learn, mentor, and grow within the organization.\n\nWork Environment\nWe enjoy and appreciate collaboration as a team and expect great communication from the candidate.
