This advanced-level role performs complex vegetation management inspections, evaluations, and work prescriptions along utility lines. The CUF 4 is responsible for managing more complex circuits, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements. This role works primarily outdoors and requires advanced technical knowledge, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to manage complex field situations while maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nVegetation Inspecting & Management\nIndependently patrol distribution and/or transmission circuits, including complex or high-priority areas \nIdentify, inspect, and evaluate trees and vegetation \nPrescribe tree trimming and removal work in accordance with client standards and specifications \nMap circuits using client continuity lists \nEnter prescriptions and data into handheld devices and applicable systems \nNotify property owners and obtain necessary permissions when required \nTrack work progress and manage documentation efforts \nPerform outage investigations and support more complex field scenarios \nSupport and coordinate vegetation management activities across assigned areas \nTree Trimming Assessments\nAudit tree trimming and removal work performed by contractors \nEvaluate quality, productivity, and compliance of completed work \nDetermine future trimming requirements and cycles \nComplete post-audit documentation and reporting \nAddress and resolve discrepancies or issues in contractor work \nMaintain State, Local, & Organizational Compliance\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements and client vegetation management standards \nObtain permits from public agencies as required \nEnsure proper documentation in client systems \nFollow all safety requirements, laws, and regulations \nWear required PPE and follow safety protocols at all times \nAdhere to attendance and work hour requirements \nPositively Build Upon New & Existing Relationships\nServe as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and customers \nCoordinate with contractors to resolve access issues, work conflicts, and scheduling challenges \nMaintain working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders \nCommunicate effectively with property owners, agencies, and the public \nSupport resolution of customer concerns or escalated issues \nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED \nExperience: Four (4) years of related arboricultural/vegetation management experience \nMust be 21 years of age or older \nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record \nCPR/First Aid certification (required prior to start) \nPreferred Qualifications:\nISA Certified Arborist (required or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) \nExperience with GIS, data collection tools, and utility systems \nExperience coordinating with contractors or external stakeholders \nDesired Skills:\nStrong ability to perform complex vegetation inspections and prescribe work \nAdvanced knowledge of tree identification, growth rates, and vegetation management practices \nAbility
