The Line Locator Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the utility system.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupervision and Leadership:Supervise and provide guidance to a team of line locator technicians.\nConduct performance evaluations, provide training, and foster professional development within the team.\n\nInstallation and Maintenance:Oversee the daily ticket schedule and monitor safety, work quality and completion.\nEnsure equipment is in good working condition.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues.\nRoutinely audit field employees.\n\n Safety and Compliance:Maintain and monitor employee Operator Qualifications (OQ’s).\nEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.\nConduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.\nStay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements related to line locating practices.\n\nRecord Keeping and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and pictures.\nPrepare and submit regular reports on team activities, performance, and any incidents or issues encountered.\nUtilize computerized systems to track work orders, inventory, and other relevant data.\n\nCustomer Service:Address customer inquiries and complaints related to locate work orders.\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve service issues promptly.\nProvide technical support and guidance to customers as needed.\n\nInventory Management:Manage inventory of locating devices, tools, and parts to ensure adequate supply for ongoing operations.\nCoordinate with procurement to order necessary equipment and materials.\nImplement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.\n\nAbout You\nMust Haves:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMust be 21 years of age or older.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in damage prevention, line locating, or a related field.\nProven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.\nStrong knowledge of ticket management systems, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.\nNice to Haves:\nAdvanced technical training or certification in line locating.\nAdditional experience in utility services or related fields.\nYour Skills:\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\nAbility to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.\nExceptional flexibility in daily routines and route scheduling.
