At Bermex, we are always looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently and love the outdoors to become a part of our team.\nAbout the Role\nThe Water Meter Installer reports to the Smart Meter Deployment Operations Manager at Bermex. This position plays a key role in water meter maintenance and measurement. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day.\nWhat You'll Do\nWater Meter Maintenance:\nPerform visual inspections of water service for leaks \nIdentify hazards at meter sites and report accordingly \nProperly change out water meters of varying sizes and brands \nProperly change out water meter registers for AMI/AMR upgrade \nWater Meter Reading:\nRead water meters \nEnter data collected in the field into a handheld computer \nAssist on additional projects, as necessary \nCustomer Communication:\nRefer all consumer complaints to the appropriate authorities \nProvide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicable \nUse telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicate \nOther duties as assigned.\n***This role has a hybrid pay scale paying a fixed hourly rate alongside a pay per piece rate once training is completed.***\nAbout You\nMust Haves:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age or older.\nExperience: 1 year of continuous work with the same employer, and/or 6 or more months working, employees will be trained. Valid driver's license is required \nNice to Have:\nExperience: 1 or more years of experience in the direct exchange of water meters and registers of varying sizes.\nYour Skills:\nAbility to multi-task, and work independently and as a team \nExceptional flexibility in daily routines and route scheduling.
