See how your skills can make a real difference, helping solve the problems children and young people face every day.\nA bit about the role.\nAs service coordinator at our short breaks activity service for disabled children you will be responsible for supervising a team and providing leadership within the service. You will oversee the day-to-day management of referrals, respond to and manage safeguarding concerns, and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure high-quality service delivery.\nWorking closely with the Children’s services Manager, you will support the collection and reporting of data for stakeholders, helping to demonstrate outcomes and service impact. You will be ensuring that children and families receive timely, effective, and person-centred support.\nOur services run during School Holidays and Saturdays during the day with some early evening activity clubs during the week.\nWhat you do could make a difference\nYou will support the collation of data and feedback for reporting.\nCommunicate effectively and transparently to families, and relevant stakeholders. \nBe responsible for training and ongoing development of staff.\nManage a team. \nEnsure records are kept up to date. \nLet’s talk about you\nAre you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:\nHold a Level 3 or above qualification relating to children, young people and families. \nSome experience of managing a team within children’s services.\nExperience of working within a multi-agency social care setting and applying safeguarding.\nExperience of managing cases, in accordance with agreed procedures, completing assessments, planning and reviews.\nAbility to communicate effectively and engagingly and to maintain independent professional relationships and boundaries.\nProducing concise and accurate reports to agreed standards, formats and timelines.\nUtilising management systems and databases to record data\nAbility to work collaboratively with Children’s services Manager.\nWhy Action for Children?\nEvery child should have a loving home, food, warmth, the chance to grow and learn - the support to cope with life’s challenges.
