This role places a strong emphasis on quality control, productivity, and ensuring Packers and Operators remain on task. The Shift Supervisor serves as a hands-on leader, actively supporting production while guiding and developing the hourly team.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform a full range of supervisory functions to support production output and maintain workflow according to schedule.\nMonitor Packers to ensure productivity standards are met; assign duties and adjust staffing as needed.\nCoordinate and manage employee break schedules to ensure continuous production flow.\nUtilize Operators to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues, minimizing downtime.\nConduct routine quality checks on all active production lines and document results accurately.\nPerform the First Part Approval Process at the start of each shift, including product review and required photo documentation submitted to management.\nCommunicate key production, staffing, and quality issues to the Department Production Manager in a timely manner.\nMaintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.\nLead by example as a hands-on contributor on the production floor.\nRequirements\nProven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.\nPrior supervisory experience managing 15-20 direct reports preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of production operations and workflow management.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems (SAP or similar ERP systems).\nDemonstrates leadership, communication, and team management skills.\nRequirements:\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nExcellent organizational and time management abilities.\nAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.\nAbility to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed.\nFlexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAll employees must be able to be at work on time for all scheduled shifts, be dependable, have positive attitudes and be trainable.
