This position will work closely with all teams in our organization improve our processes, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and moral.\nWhat are the essential functions?\nIdentify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.\nDetermine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.\nProvide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.\nIncorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.\nSupervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers.\nTroubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.\nReview product designs for manufacturability or completeness.\nTrain production personnel in new or existing methods.\nCommunicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.\nDesign, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.\nPrepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.\nApply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.\nInvestigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.\nEstimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs.\nEvaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.\nPurchase equipment, materials, or parts.\nDesign layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.\nDesign testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.\nWhat do you need to be able to do?\nPursuing or have received bachelor’s degree related to manufacturing processes or engineering\n1-2 years process improvement experience\nEffectively use CAD system for 3D modeling and 2D drawings (Creo 2.0 preferred)\nEffectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)\nKnowledge of engineering first principles (physics, thermodynamics, etc.)\nAction Target is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
