This individual will be a key contributor to the finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, dynamic, a thought leader and have the ability to think outside the box. Additionally, the ideal candidate will need to excel in an environment with private equity investors, manufacturing and service revenues and cost centers, sophisticated ERP setup, and consolidation of multiple subsidiaries. This role will report to the Assistant Controller.\nSome of your day-to-day tasks?\nAssists in recording transactions related to and in ensuring the accuracy of accounting of revenue and expense recognition, billing, cost accounting, cash management, GL, AR, AP and fixed assets\nHelps coordinate and conduct the monthly and annual closing procedures\nCompleting monthly bank reconciliations\nAssists in providing problem solving, application of accounting principles and issue resolution across the accounting team of 6 to 8 members\nAssists in the monitoring, maintenance, documentation and enhancement of the accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and accounting team efficiencies\nProvides guidance for accounting/finance tools and system\nCost accounting activities\nEngages with outsourced functions (tax, audit and transfer pricing)\nAssists in the oversight and filing of tax compliance matters (Fed & State Income Taxes, Sales & Use Taxes and Foreign Tax Obligations)\nMentors team members\nAssists with the production and review of monthly financial statements and reports\nWhat do you need to be able to do?\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, processes and internal controls\nSolid experience working with ERP systems\nStrong problem solving and decision-making skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and social interaction;\nA strong team player\nExperience within a manufacturing company a plus\nThree to five years of related experience\nBachelor’s degree in accounting\nCertified Public Accountant a plus\nAction Target is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
