You will combine engineering leadership with hands-on technical expertise to deliver secure, reliable integrations that fit our customers' workflows.\nWhat you'll do:\nLead and develop a team of engineers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and regular feedback.\nOwn delivery outcomes within the agreed scope, provide practical estimates, and make capacity and priority tradeoffs visible.\nDelegate ownership to engineers and, as the team grows, team leads; distinguish near-term delivery from long-term capability development. Keep the role to no more than three clearly defined focus areas, with team leads taking ownership as capacity grows.\nWork with Product Management to define priorities, plan delivery, and translate customer needs into integration capabilities.\nOversee the design, development, and maintenance of integrations, including:- Connectors to third-party applications and services.\n- An Integrations Store for discovering and managing available integrations.\n- Data mapping, validation, and synchronization between systems.\n- Authentication, authorization, and secure credential handling.\n- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery from integration failures.\n\nGuide technical decisions within the assigned domain from solution design through development and production rollout, coordinating cross-cutting architecture and security decisions with their designated owners.\nEstablish reusable integration patterns that handle retries, rate limits, duplicate events, and API version changes reliably.\nOwn automated pipelines for building, testing, validating, and deploying integrations.\nImprove integration reliability, performance, and observability, and guide the team in resolving production issues.\nCoordinate with other engineering teams and external partners to manage dependencies and compatibility.\nApply AI technologies where they improve integration development, testing, or support, with appropriate validation of outputs.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for:\n Experience leading software engineers and owning the delivery and operation of production systems. \n Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to contribute to technical problem-solving. \n Excellent knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. \n Experience building and operating AWS services in production. \n Hands-on experience designing and maintaining APIs and integrations with external systems.\nUnderstanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, data consistency, and failure recovery.\n Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling, aggregation, and query performance. \n Experience with secure authentication and authorization for integrations.\n Strong communication skills and the ability to align engineering work with product priorities. \n Professional working proficiency in English for leading an English-speaking team and collaborating across functions.\nNice to have:\nExperience writing automated integration and contract tests.\nProficiency in SQL.\nExperience with runtime isolation and sandboxing for sensitive execution.\nExperience in B2B SaaS, security, compliance, or data governance.\nExperience building high-load products with numerous endpoints.\nExperience maintaining
