This role is responsible for producing high-quality, SIPH-compliant Installation Design Plan drawings for each laboratory space based on validated field data and engineering direction.\nThe Drafter works closely with the Project Manager and Systems Engineer/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to translate survey results, system inventories, and engineering analyses into accurate, configuration-controlled design packages. This position plays a key role in documenting existing conditions and proposed infrastructure layouts to support DoW revitalization and transition planning for the future headquarters facility..\nThis position may perform work on-site and/or remotely, with on-site coordination required during survey and validation phases as needed.\nTarget Salary - $90,000 or $44/hr\nResponsibilities\nDevelops SIPH-compliant Installation Design Plan (IDP) drawing packages for each laboratory space, incorporating layouts, LAN diagrams, RF and antenna diagrams, antenna platform drawings, and supporting details.\nProduces 30%, 60%, and 100% IDP drawing sets in accordance with project milestones and Government review requirements.\nIncorporates field survey data, redlines, photographs, and engineering guidance into accurate as-found and design drawings.\nUpdates and revises drawings based on Systems Engineer/SME direction and Government comments, maintaining strict configuration control.\nSupports development of laboratory layouts showing equipment placement, rack configurations, power interfaces, and connectivity paths.\nAssists with preparation of drawing legends, notes, symbols, and layer standards to ensure consistency across all IDP packages.\nParticipates in QA/QC reviews to verify drawing accuracy, completeness, and alignment with supporting technical documentation.\nSupports comment resolution by clearly identifying and addressing Government review comments within revised drawing packages.\nRequired Qualifications\nActive DoW Secret Clearance\nAssociate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of three years of experience producing technical drawings for DoD or federal engineering projects.\nDemonstrated experience developing SIPH-compliant drawings and documentation is required.\nProficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.\nAbility to interpret field data, redlines, and engineering direction to produce accurate design drawings.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages concurrently.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting DoD facilities, laboratories, or technical infrastructure projects.\nFamiliarity with Installation Design Plans (IDPs), as-built drawings, and configuration-controlled engineering deliverables.\nExperience developing LAN, RF, and antenna-related drawings.\nKnowledge of Navy laboratory environments, infrastructure standards, and documentation practices.\nAbility to work closely with engineers and technicians during survey-driven design efforts.\nActioNet is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
