The position requires up to 25% travel. This is a Mission Essential designated position per DFARS 252.237-7023.\nSalary range for this position is up to $230,000, depending on qualifications, including relevant certifications, education, years of experience, and demonstrated experience supporting Federal Government programs within the field. Candidates with specialized expertise, industry-recognized certifications, and strong Federal contracting experience may be considered at the higher end of the range.\nResponsibilities\nSenior position with multi-disciplined network experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions. \nUnderstands requirements, creates designs and network topology artifacts to meet or exceed connectivity, availability, reliability security SLAs.\nLeads the development of designs, plans and policies, and implementations of data networks based on the customers’ performance criteria and specifications. \nLeads site surveys and network assessments to determine the best hardware and software components for network upgrades to ensure networks are reliable, efficient, and secure. \nLeads preliminary and final SPRIP development. \nEnsures installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition. \nProvides Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder-Training to the O&M team to ensure smooth transition of the networks systems. \nDesigns and implements routing policies and load balancing solutions for the customers using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols. \nCreates cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POA&Ms. \nDesigns and implements secure networks, systems, and application architectures. Implements and supports network management such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration. Creates LOM to capture all major components and installation materials to ensure successful deployment of systems. \nPrepares or contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.\nEnsures network solutions are in compliance with all pertinent DAF policies and established compliant IT system integrations. \nCoordinates with local Communication Squadron and/or regional cybersecurity teams to configure, turn up, and cutover new deployments.\nAssists the O&M team in troubleshooting network-related issues post-deployment of the new systems. \nResolves technical issues with networks, hardware, and software. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.\n Required Qualifications & SkillsDegree: Technical BA/BS degree; \nExperience: 7 years with bachelor’s degree; \nCommensurate: High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 9 years performing as a Network Engineer on large, complex networks; \nSpecific Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), AutoCAD; demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with their team and customers; \nCertification(s): CCNP or equivalent; CompTIA Security+; \nClearance: Secret\nPreferred Certifications\nCandidates possessing one or more of the following certifications are strongly preferred:\nCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise) or equivalent advanced networking certification\nCisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (highly desirable for senior-level candidates)\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+ (advanced experience preferred beyond baseline requirement)\nITIL 4 Foundation or IT service management certification\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent virtualization/infrastructure certification\nAbout ActioNet\nActioNet is a CMMI-DEV Level 4, CMMI-SVC Level 4, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, HDI-certified, woman-owned IT solutions provider with 25+ years of stellar performance.
