The engagement is 12-months\nLocation: 9 King George's Ave\nThe Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and secure web applications. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering digital and AI-enabled products. Engineers must work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment, contributing to the development, deployment, and scaling of these products while ensuring high software quality, maintainability, security, and continuous improvement.\nWhat the officer will be doing?\nTake full ownership of end-to-end application development, integrating frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and AI services.\nDesign, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web applications.\nImplement modern frontend architectures, ensuring reusability, scalability, and security.\nDevelop backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and observability.\nEnsure adequate automated test coverage and proactively fix bugs and defects.\nOptimize CI/CD deployment strategies, ensuring seamless and automated releases.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and cloud deployments using DevOps best practices.\nEnsure application security, including authentication, authorization, API security, and frontend security best practices.\nOwn the delivery, enhancement, and scaling of AI-enabled products in production.\nContinuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve application performance and developer productivity.\nRequirements\nWhat are we looking for?\nFull Stack Development\nDegree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.\nExperience with Git and modern branching workflows.\nStrong proficiency in both frontend and backend development.\nExperience delivering production-ready web applications and digital products across the full lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.\nFrontend Technologies\nJavaScript and TypeScript.\nFrontend frameworks such as React.js and/or Next.js.\nExperience building responsive and user-centric web applications.\nFamiliarity with UI component libraries such as Material-UI or Tailwind CSS.\nBackend Technologies\nNode.js (Express.js, NestJS) and/or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django).\nStrong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.\nFamiliarity with GraphQL and WebSockets.\nCaching (e.g. Redis), API rate limiting, and scalability patterns (horizontal scaling, load balancing).\nExperience integrating with enterprise systems and third-party platforms.\nAI Application Development\nHands-on experience building LLM-powered features in production, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool or function calling, and agent workflows.\nExperience implementing guardrails and evaluating LLM output quality.\nProficient in using AI coding assistants with sound engineering discipline.\nDevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.\nHands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architectures.\nExperience with containerisation technologies such as Docker.\nFamiliarity with application monitoring and observability tools.\nSecurity Best Practices\nAwareness of LLM-specific risks such as prompt injection and sensitive data leakage (e.g. OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications).\nExperience implementing authentication and authorisation mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).\nKnowledge of API security and secure coding practices.\nFamiliarity with cloud security concepts and OWASP Top 10.\nSoftware Quality & Testing\nExperience with unit and integration testing.\nExperience with automated testing frameworks.\nExperience troubleshooting and resolving production issues.\nBonus Experience (Added Advantage)\nExperience delivering projects within the Singapore Government or Public Service sector.\nFamiliarity with government security, governance, and compliance requirements.\nExperience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or other enterprise AI platforms.\nExperience developing AI agents, copilots, chatbots, or workflow automation solutions.\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms\nBenefits\nWhat do we offer in return?\nCompetitive Compensation: Market competitive salary and variable performance bonus aligned to your skills, impact, and contribution.\nBenefits: Outpatient medical, specialist medical coverage and generous customisable flexi benefits, or flexi allowance; life and health insurance, thoughtful perks like special occasions “red packet” and CNY goodies, etc.\nEmployee Wellness: Support for your physical, mental, and overall well-being through year-round initiatives.\nGrowth & Development: Learning programmes, certification support, and a dedicated staff development budget.
