Co-Development Business Unit is hiring for Software Engineer

This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year.

What will you do?

• CorenetX is an integrated web portal for Singapore’s Built Environment sector, enabling architects and engineers to submit building plans for regulatory approval. As part of this process, 3D building models in the IFC format are uploaded and routed to the relevant government agencies for automated and manual checking against building regulations.
• We are building a web-based 3D IFC model viewer that will allow processing officers and industry users to inspect, navigate, and query these building models directly in the browser, without requiring specialist desktop software.
• You will be joining a small, cross-functional product team and working closely with backend engineers, product managers, and domain experts to bring this viewer to agencies and industry users.
• Designing and developing the web-based 3D IFC model viewer, from architecture through to implementation
• Exploring and evaluating relevant open-source libraries and tools (e.g. IFC parsers, WebGL frameworks)
• Implementing model navigation features (e.g. object selection, section cuts, and property inspection, etc.)
• Collaborating with backend engineers on server-side geometry processing and data APIs
• Optimising viewer performance when dealing with large, complex fi les
• Iterating on the viewer based on feedback from end users

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and backend JS runtimes (e.g. Node.js/Deno)
• Good understanding of 3D graphics and/or computational geometry concepts
• Strong problem solving skills and a desire to learn
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Web development (Frontend/Backend/Full-stack)
• WebGL or related 3D frameworks (e.g. Babylon.js)
• Python and libraries like IfcOpenShell
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts
• Geospatial data and information
• Agentic development workfl ows (e.g Claude Code)
• WebAssembly
