We would love to meet you!\nAs the Director - Corporate Accounting and Financial Controls, you will be responsible of overseeing and analyzing the consolidation of the group’s financial statements as well as complex accounting matters, providing accounting support to various finance sectors, leading and contributing to ad hoc projects, supervising the preparation of audit materials, and ensuring compliance with Canadian GAAP requirements.\nWhat does your typical day look like?\nLead the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated results (balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flows, allocations, and intercompany transactions).\nCoordinate the financial statements of the group and its subsidiaries (20+), working with external auditors for year-end audits.\nSupport the subsidiaries’ accounting teams during the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated results.\nParticipate in presenting the consolidated financial statements to the Chief Financial Officer and the Vice President - Corporate Finance.\nActively participate in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation within the group.\nTake part in maintaining the integrity of the consolidation system, chart of accounts, and other work files.\nCreate, apply, and regularly update a centralized record of all accounting policies used by the group.\nProvide interpretation and guidance on complex accounting matters in accordance with Canadian GAAP and the company’s financial policies.\nParticipate in projects and assignments as needed. \n*This is a primarily on-site position based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Employees are expected to work primarily from our Sherbrooke office.What skills and experience are we looking for? \nBachelor's degree in accounting\nCPA designation\nA minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Accounting \nMinimum 4 years’ experience in auditing\nBilingualism (English and French) is required for this role. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
