Responsibilities include managing the organization’s physical security posture, overseeing the vendor risk management lifecycle and the employees’ Security training. Responsibilities also include the related risk assessments and ongoing monitoring to ensure third-party compliance with security expectations.\nWhat does your typical day look like?\nDevelop, implement, and maintain physical security policies and procedures;\nOversee access control systems, surveillance infrastructure, and incident response protocols;\nConduct regular physical security audits and risk assessments across all sites;\nCoordinate with facilities, HR and GTS teams to manage employee access and visitor protocols;\nLead investigations into physical security incidents and recommend corrective actions;\nLook for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or external threats that could impact the organization’s assets or operations;\nOwn the vendor security risk assessment process, including the due diligence review, annual reviews, and offboarding;\nEvaluate vendor security documentation (SOC reports, ISO certifications, etc.) and identify gaps;\nCollaborate with Operations, Legal, and GTS to ensure vendor contracts include appropriate security clauses;\nMaintain the organization's vendor security risk assessment through periodic review to ensure new threats are identified early;\nTrack remediation plans for vendor-related risks and follow up on progress;\nDevelop, maintain, and execute the organization’s annual Security Awareness & Training program and ensure it aligns with business priorities, compliance needs, and emerging threats;\nTrack completion rates and escalate non-compliance according to policy.\nWhat skills and training do you need?\nPost-secondary education in Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field;\n5+ years of experience in physical security, vendor risk, or related roles;\nCertifications such as CPP, PSP, or CRVPM are considered assets;\nKnowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA\nBilingual (French/English) preferred;\nBe available to travel within Canada and abroad, if needed;\nAbility to exercise flexibility, and initiative;\nAbility to work independently;\nExceptional organizational skills\nExcellent attention to detail;\nExcellent research skills.\nWhen you apply:\nIf you require assistance or accommodation during our recruitment process, please notify Human Resources so that we can review and consider how we may be able to assist you based on your individual needs.\nWe offer you\nGlobal Excel offers more than a position!\nWe offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, performance bonus and an extensive benefit package;\nA professional future with opportunities for development, growth, and advancement; \nRRSP Match program;\nWork/life balance, health and wellness initiatives including an excellent EAP program;\nEmployee engagement programs that focus on fitness, food, and fun. \n Windsor, Ontario Candidates: base salary scale ($77,000-$95,000 annually ).
