Join us and help shape the future of IT.\nNetwork Engineer Job Description :\nThe Network Engineer position is a technical position responsible for performing various work functions in support of the Boeing network. The engineer will be supporting the client remotely from Acuative’s Strongsville, OH office. This position will require in-depth technical knowledge to facilitate the design, install, and management of enterprise networking solutions and associated components. This will include the high-level input on system architecture and design changes, analysis and resolution of networking hardware, software, and routing issues.\nAlong with this knowledge, it is imperative that the incumbent understands Boeing’s business goals and management’s objectives and priorities. The incumbent collaborates to develop solutions for supporting the large and diverse user community’s needs within the constraints of the business requirements and Infrastructure Services Portfolio of offerings.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for configuration, implementation, and support for network installations as necessary.\nProvide network support and troubleshooting network solutions for a large enterprise network, including the WAN, MAN and DC components.\nWork with customers, vendors, and technical teams to prospect and develop network design, installation, and support opportunities.\nMaintaining an established work schedule and availability for scheduled implementations including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to network technologies, network topology, network equipment, and configuration(s). Ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of environments.\nProvide timely and accurate project status updates to customer contacts and management.\nAnalyze system reports, error logs and activity and initiate system enhancements as needed.\nProvide Engineering level support for incident and problem management.\nInteract with customers and establish customer relationships to gather and analyze customer needs, assess available resources, and determine optimal solutions.\nAssist PMs with developing project plans incorporating resource estimates for project tasks and manage projects as assigned.\nCollaborate with senior members of the client’s infrastructure teams.\nAdvise management on technology roadmaps, evaluate vendor products, and make recommendations on product/service selection and current system upgrades.\nTrain, educate and mentor junior staff, as necessary.\nParticipate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability.\nMinimum Qualifications :\n5- 8 years of experience in Network Engineering.\nCisco CCNP certification (required).\nStrong understanding of the following technical skills:L2: VLANs/dot1q.\nIP routing protocols (Static, OSPF, EIGRP).\nBGP incl route attributes, route preference and route filtering.\nRouting redistribution and filtering.\nACLs/route maps/prefix-lists/ASN access-lists.\nQoS.\nMPLS/VRFs.\nIPsec, GRE, GETVPN, DMVPN.\nIP Multicast.\nPhysical connectivity and fiber (SM/MM/Connector Types/ODF/SFPs/Basic optics/racking equipment/power/cooling and air flows).\nNetwork services (DNS/DHCP).\n\nExperience with large-scale Cisco enterprise networking solutions including design, implementation, and support.\nExperience and knowledge of the different Cisco product lines and positioning of each.\nFamiliarity with SDWAN.\nFamiliarity with Cloud Services including AWS, Azure, or OCI.\nFamiliarity with SASE solutions such Palo Alto Prisma and ZScaler.\n5-7 years of experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.\nExcellent design and architecture skills.\nGood problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience maintaining network performance through network monitoring and analysis.\nFamiliarity with IP Telephony, Linux, Python, Elastic Search and SolarWinds monitoring tools.\nKnowledge of carrier services and interfaces.\nProficient in customer knowledge transfer and documentation (HLD/LLD/NIP/NRFU/MOP/Migration Plan).\nStrong attention to detail in-regard to project planning and documentation.\nAbility to apply judgment, implement solutions, and resolve conflicts, all in a multi-tasked environment.\nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and with written documentation.\nAbility to handle a growing, fast paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications :\nCCIE Certification. \nArista Routing and Switching \nCisco SD-WAN \nEqual Opportunity Statement :\nAcuative is an equal opportunity employer.
