We combine industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support our customers’ critical missions.Responsibilities\nWhat you 'll be doing:\nShall participate in software development efforts through all aspects of the software engineering life cycle including scope and work estimation, design, documentation, implementation, testing and integration. \nShall design and develop new applications to better meet the Client mission design, as well as develop, and provide O&M for multiple tools. \nShall assist in developing solutions to software architecture problems and broad design solutions. \nShall manage virtual and physical servers on a virtualization platform (VMware) with Windows Server 2008-2016, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.\nShall ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. \nShall use a proactive approach to anticipating, mitigating, identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills:\n Demonstrated experience independently designing and developing cloud based applications using current best practices and architectural guidelines. \n Demonstrated experience working in software engineering, applications development or web application development and deployment. \n Demonstrated experience with object oriented development in a modern language (Java, Go, C##). \n Demonstrated experience developing front ends in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue. \n Demonstrated experience developing in a Linux environment. \n Demonstrated experience developing in a commercial clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. \n Demonstrated experience developing containerized applications using Kubernetes.\n Demonstrated experience working with orchestration tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm. \n Demonstrated experience with networking and Virtual Private Network (VPN) protocols like OpenVPN, Wireguard, and IPSec. \n Demonstrated experience managing end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices. \n Demonstrated experience installing and managing cloud based applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP. \n Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and containerization. \n Demonstrated experience performing software and hardware upgrades, patches and reconfigs. \n Demonstrated experience managing the physical environment of server racks including cable management, documenting, labeling, and configuration of KVM switching for console and remote access. \n Demonstrated experience installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. \n Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. \n Demonstrated experience performing regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. \n Demonstrated experience monitoring the system daily and responding immediately to performance, security or usability concerns. \n Demonstrated experience reviewing application logs to sustain system integrity and security. \n Demonstrated experience with Linux administration (Centos/Ubuntu/Rocky). \n Demonstrated experience communicating issues and resolutions to all levels of an organization. \n Demonstrated experience responding and resolving help desk and JIRA requests. \n Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Skills\nDemonstrated experience with Java/Go.\nDemonstrated experience with Javascript.\nDemonstrated experience with React, Angular, or Vue.\nDemonstrated experience with development in AWS, Azure, or GCP (specifically experience with EC2, S3, EKS, EFS, Route53, Load Balancers or their equivalents).\nDemonstrated experience with Kubernetes.\nDemonstrated experience with automation - CI/CD (Gitlab).\nDemonstrated experience in system administration.\nSystem administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields\nDemonstrated experience with Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies like OpenVPN, Wireguard, and IPSec.\nDemonstrated experience with virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience with scripting (Bash, Python, Powershell) and automation tools.\nClearance Requirements:\nTS/SCI w/Poly\nMin\nUSD $160,000.00/Yr.Max\nUSD $210,000.00/Yr.Salary Range\nThe salary range for this position represents Acuity's good faith estimate of the compensation for this job title at the time of posting.
