Visit us at www.acuityinc.com.\nJob Summary\nThe Design Engineer (Electronic/Electrical) will be responsible for product design and development from concept through production, primarily supporting LED Drivers, ECG and LE products. The role covers new product development, sustaining engineering, product improvements, cost reduction, and resolution of field problems. The engineer will also lead prototyping, testing, verification, and product development projects.\nKey Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)\nDesign and development of Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).\nComponent selection and qualification.\nDevelopment and management of schematics, layouts, BOMs, Engineering Change Notices and engineering specifications.\nElectrical, thermal, EMI, mechanical and environmental qualification testing.\nPrototyping and sample assembly.\nTroubleshooting part and assembly issues with Manufacturing.\nParticipation in Stage Gate / Product Development processes.\nDevelopment of concepts for new products.\nContinuous improvement focused on productivity, quality, purchasing and manufacturing.\nCost reduction and process improvement initiatives\nSkills and Minimum Experience Required\nBachelor's degree\nAdvanced English skills\nStrong experience or knowledge in Power Electronics / SMPS.\nUnderstanding of Boost, Buck, Flyback, LLC, LCC and resonant converters.\nExperience with PSpice or LTSpice.\nPCB design knowledge.\nExperience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, AC/DC power supplies and electronic loads.\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\nOver 5+ years of experience or strong knowledge specifically in Power Electronics and SMPS.\nKnowledge of UL certification and UL testing processes applicable to LED drivers and lighting.\nProject management experience preferred.\nTechnical leadership and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.\nRequisitos de Viaje\n0-25%\nWe value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
