This role partners closely with Practice Managers, Clinic Leads, and physicians to ensure operational excellence, exceptional patient care, financial performance, and team engagement.\nThe Assistant Area Manager serves as an extension of the Area Manager and helps maintain consistency in operations, coach leaders, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure company policies and standards are consistently followed.\nEssential Responsibilities\nOperational Leadership\nSupport the oversight of daily operations across assigned clinic locations.\nAssist Practice Managers and Clinic Leads in achieving operational and financial goals.\nMonitor clinic workflows to improve efficiency, reduce patient wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.\nEnsure provider schedules and templates are optimized and followed appropriately.\nAssist with staffing coverage and operational needs across multiple locations.\nTeam Leadership\nCoach, mentor, and develop Clinic Leads, and frontline staff.\nProvide real-time feedback and accountability while promoting a positive, respectful work environment.\nAssist with onboarding and training of new leaders and team members.\nHelp identify high-potential employees for leadership development.\nPatient Experience\nPromote a culture centered around outstanding patient care and service.\nMonitor patient satisfaction and assist with the resolution of complaints or service recovery opportunities.\nEnsure clinics maintain a professional appearance and operational readiness.\nFinancial & Performance Management\nMonitor key performance indicators including:\nPatient volume\nProvider utilization\nWait times\nNo-show rates\nProductivity\nOvertime\nLabor utilization\nAssist in implementing action plans to improve clinic performance.\nSupport cost containment efforts while maintaining quality patient care.\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure compliance with company policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport quality initiatives and operational audits.\nReinforce standard operating procedures across all assigned clinics.\nPhysician Support\nBuild strong working relationships with physicians and providers.\nHelp resolve operational concerns impacting provider productivity.\nEnsure provider schedules, staffing, equipment, and patient flow support efficient clinic operations.\nCommunication\nServe as a liaison between clinic leadership and regional leadership.\nCommunicate operational updates, priorities, and organizational initiatives effectively.\nFoster collaboration across departments and clinic locations.\nRequirements\nEducation\nBachelor's degree preferred.\nEquivalent healthcare leadership experience may be considered.\nExperience\nMinimum of 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations.\nMulti-site leadership experience preferred.\nOphthalmology experience preferred.\nMedical practice management experience strongly preferred.\nKnowledge & Skills\nStrong leadership and coaching abilities.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to analyze operational data and make informed decisions.\nStrong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nCore Competencies\nLeadership\nAccountability\nPatient-First Mindset\nCollaboration\nOperational Excellence\nProblem Solving\nAdaptability\nProfessionalism\nContinuous Improvement\nTravel Requirements\nFrequent travel between assigned clinic locations within the Inland Empire region.\nOccasional travel outside the region for meetings, training, or business needs.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to work in a clinical office environment.\nSuccess Measures\nSuccess in this role is demonstrated by:\nImproved patient satisfaction and experience.\nAchievement of operational and financial goals.\nStrong employee engagement and retention.\nConsistent compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nReduced patient wait times and improved clinic efficiency.\nSuccessful coaching and development of clinic leadership teams.\nConsistent execution of company initiatives across all assigned locations.\nSalary Description\n$72,000 -
