We combine industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support our customers’ critical missions.Responsibilities\nThe Platform Architect will work with a multidisciplinary ServiceNow team to assess, architect, and modernize the enterprise platform. The individual will:\nLead architectural assessment of the existing ServiceNow platform, including capabilities, customization patterns, workflows, data models, and integration dependencies.\nAnalyze customization-driven technical debt across custom tables, scripts, workflows, and platform applications impacting upgrade readiness, scalability, and maintainability.\nEvaluate alignment with ServiceNow architectural best practices, including configuration-first delivery models, CSDM adoption, and standardized ITSM processes.\nDefine the target ServiceNow platform architecture including service taxonomy, service catalog structure, CMDB design, and platform governance standards.\nDesign and guide implementation of CSDM-aligned CMDB architecture supporting service ownership, impact analysis, service mapping, and operational visibility.\nLead architecture across core platform capabilities including ITSM, Employee Center, enterprise service catalog, integrations, and platform applications.\nDefine integration architecture and oversee data integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.\nGuide configuration standards, development patterns, and governance controls that reduce customization and maintain long-term upgrade compatibility.\nCollaborate with functional leads, developers, and government stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable platform capabilities.\nSupport development of modernization roadmaps, migration sequencing strategies, and architectural decision frameworks.\nProvide architectural oversight during implementation including design reviews, technical governance, and quality assurance.\nMaintain architecture documentation including platform architecture diagrams, integration architecture, data models, and technical standards.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills/Experience:\nDemonstrated experience serving as a ServiceNow Platform Architect or Lead Architect supporting enterprise implementations or platform modernization.\nDeep expertise across core ServiceNow capabilities including ITSM, service catalog, CMDB, and platform governance.\nStrong experience designing CMDB architectures aligned to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).\nExperience assessing and remediating heavily customized ServiceNow environments.\nExperience defining configuration-first delivery models and reducing customization-driven technical debt.\nExperience designing enterprise integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.\nExperience leading platform architecture within Agile or iterative delivery environments.\nStrong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture including data models, workflows, integrations, and extensibility patterns.\nAbility to guide enterprise stakeholders through platform modernization and architectural decision-making.\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator.\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer.\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (preferred).\nClearance Requirement:\nUS Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance\nMin\nUSD $225,000.00/Yr.Max\nUSD $230,000.00/Yr.Salary Range\nThe salary range for this position represents Acuity's good faith estimate of the compensation for this job title at the time of posting.
