Visit us at www.acuityinc.com.\nJob Summary\nThis role is responsible for coordinating, planning, documenting, and executing daily shipping, distribution, and export operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods. This role oversees shipping activities, logistics providers, inventory control, and compliance with CTPAT/OEA requirements while driving departmental performance against +QDIPA metrics. The position provides leadership and direction to the shipping team, ensuring efficient resource utilization, adherence to established procedures, continuous process improvement, and achievement of operational KPIs. The Team Lead collaborates with internal departments, transportation providers, and freight forwarders to maintain efficient distribution operations and meet customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlan, coordinate, and execute daily shipping activities to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods. \nOversee the receipt, preparation, and loading of finished goods for shipment.\nCoordinate transportation providers, truck schedules, and trailer availability for import and export operations.\nEnsure finished goods are shipped within established timelines, targeting completion within 48 hours.\nMonitor direct shipment projections and execution against operational targets.\nServe as the primary contact for logistics vendors regarding invoices, transportation incidents, and operational issues.\nCoordinate international shipments, including ocean freight, air freight, and expedited deliveries.\nValidate container capacity, shipment volumes, and loading requirements.\nOversee export documentation, export control validation, and shipment compliance.\nCoordinate live loading operations and maintain communication with freight forwarders.\nPrepare and maintain daily export reports to ensure shipment visibility and timely execution.\nCoordinate and maintain compliance with CTPAT and OEA security and trade requirements.\nEnsure shipping and export processes follow established security procedures and regulatory standards.\nSupport compliance reviews, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead daily shipping operations, allocate resources, and monitor departmental performance against +QDIPA metrics.\nMaintain finished goods inventory accuracy and coordinate inventory control activities.\nReview transportation invoices, manage shipping-related expenses, and identify cost optimization opportunities.\nCoordinate departmental safety meetings, shipping performance reviews, and operational issue resolution.\nPromote employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve shipping efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity.\nCoordinate the release and rescheduling of orders on hold.\nPartner with Customer Care and other internal departments to prioritize expedited and critical orders.\nInvestigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, order issues, and distribution concerns.\nEnsure accurate order processing and timely communication regarding shipment status.\nMInimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant professional experience.\n6-8 years of experience in logistics, distribution, shipping operations, supply chain, or related functions.\nExperience coordinating import/export processes, transportation providers, and shipping documentation.\nDemonstrated team leadership skills and ability to coordinate daily operational activities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and utilize logistics and enterprise systems such as Agile, Traffic32, Oracle, Power Apps, and UPS platforms.\nKnowledge of shipping operations, finished goods inventory control, and transportation coordination.\nFamiliarity with CTPAT/OEA requirements and international trade compliance procedures.\nStrong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with operations personnel and cross-functional teams.\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and achievement of performance targets.\nPreferred: Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).\nTravel Requirements\n0-25% domestic and/or international travel, based on business needs.\nWork Arrangement: On-site.\nWe value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
