We combine industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support our customers’ critical missions.Responsibilities\nLead, mentor, and provide day-to-day technical direction to a team of Systems Administrators supporting Department of State enterprise IT operations.\n\nServe as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of critical infrastructure incidents.\n\nOversee administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SCCM, and associated enterprise systems.\n\nAssign and prioritize technical workloads, monitor team performance, and ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and operational deliverables.\n\nProvide technical oversight for system upgrades, patching, configuration changes, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure improvements.\n\nDevelop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting technologies to improve operational efficiency.\n\nOversee the collection, review, consolidation, and timely submission of team activity reports, technical status updates, and operational deliverables.\n\nTrack and report on team productivity, ticket resolution, SLA compliance, system performance, incident trends, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).\n\nPrepare and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports, including weekly and monthly status reports, incident summaries, risk assessments, and performance metrics to program leadership and government stakeholders.\n\nEnsure systems and team activities comply with Department of State security policies, technical standards, and established ITIL processes.\n\nCollaborate with network, cybersecurity, engineering, and application support teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain system availability.\n\nMaintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-sharing practices.\n\nCoordinate with government stakeholders and program leadership to communicate technical issues, operational status, risks, and recommended solutions.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent related field experience)\n5+ years Windows server experience (2012, 2016, 2019)\nMust have a minimum of five (5) Years specialized experience in Systems Administration supporting MS SQL Server, MS System Center (SCCM), O365/SharePoint and MS Azure\nKnowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Registry, Group Policy Objects\nProficiency scripting in PowerShell or equivalent\nDesired Qualifications:\nMicrosoft Server or Infrastructure Certification(s) (or equivalent work experience)\nRemedy Action Request Server, ServiceNow and ITSM experience\nSQL database experience\nITIL® Foundations certification\nSecurity+ certification\nPrior experience in a consulting environment\nPreference for experience with mentoring and training staff\nClearance Requirements:\nMust have active Secret and be eligible for Top Secret clearance\nMin\nUSD $130,000.00/Yr.Max\nUSD $145,000.00/Yr.Salary Range\nThe salary range for this position represents Acuity's good faith estimate of the compensation for this job title at the time of posting.
