We combine industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support our customers’ critical missions.Responsibilities\nProvide technical leadership, direction, and mentorship to software engineers, developers, and DevSecOps team members.\n\nSupport the design, development, integration, and modernization of enterprise applications and shared services.\n\nApply hands-on software development expertise using modern programming and scripting languages, including Java, Python, and related technologies.\n\nLead technical efforts involving cloud-based solutions and infrastructure using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or comparable cloud environments.\n\nSupport, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and other Git-based automation platforms.\n\nProvide technical guidance supporting the modernization and migration of existing Jenkins pipelines to Git-native CI/CD environments.\n\nImplement and promote DevSecOps best practices, including automated testing, code quality analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure software delivery.\n\nCollaborate with development and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend sustainable solutions.\n\nReview technical designs, code quality, and engineering approaches to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.\n\nSupport Agile development practices, including sprint planning, technical task estimation, solution design, and timely delivery of project milestones.\n\nCoordinate with Government stakeholders, technical teams, and other contractors to ensure technical solutions meet program requirements.\n\nDevelop technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve system performance, automation, operational efficiency, and software reliability.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.\n\nMinimum five (5) years of hands-on software development experience.\n\nDemonstrated expertise in modern programming and scripting languages, such as Java and Python.\n\nExperience with cloud computing platforms, including AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.\n\nHands-on experience with DevOps orchestration and CI/CD technologies, including Jenkins and Git-based CI systems.\n\nExperience supporting software development, integration, automation, and troubleshooting within enterprise IT environments.\n\nDemonstrated ability to mentor technical team members and provide guidance on complex engineering challenges.\n\nExperience delivering technical solutions using Agile or similar software development methodologies.\n\nStrong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to manage competing technical priorities and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting U.S. Federal Government or Department of State IT programs.\n\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD migration, pipeline modernization, and automation using Groovy, YAML, Bash, or PowerShell.\n\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Nexus Repository Manager, Nexus IQ, and ACCELQ.\n\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.\n\nExperience with software architecture, microservices, APIs, and enterprise application integration.\n\nKnowledge of secure software development practices and federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.\n\nExperience with automated testing, code scanning, quality gates, and continuous software delivery.\n\nExperience supporting mission-critical, high-availability enterprise systems.\n\nDemonstrated experience collaborating with Government technical stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\n\nClearance Requirement\nActive security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)\nMin\nUSD $160,000.00/Yr.Max\nUSD $200,000.00/Yr.Salary Range\nThe salary range for this position represents Acuity's good faith estimate of the compensation for this job title at the time of posting.
