You will drive the validation of our intelligent building ecosystems, including embedded controllers, IoT hardware, industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus), and software applications.\nYour responsibilities\nTest Design: Design and execute software and hardware test plans.\nCompliance Validation: Verify product conformity according to technical specifications and requirements.\nAutomation: Automate tests to optimize validation cycles.\nLab Setup: Build and wire the necessary test benches and installations for embedded systems.\nCollaboration: Work daily with development and other QA teams.\nContinuous Improvement: Actively participate in the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes.\nYour profile\nTechnical Expertise: Hands-on experience in embedded systems testing and software test automation.\nPractical Know-How: Highly skilled in the assembly and wiring of test setups and equipment.\nTeam Player: A natural collaborator who is proactive and highly autonomous.\nCommitment: Strong attention to detail, professional, and driven by project success.\nKey Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)\nCollaborate closely with your software development team and other program members (Product, Developers, QA). \nEnsure the quality of products under development prior to their release into production. \nEstablish test strategies and detailed planning schedules. \nWrite test cases and execution scenarios. \nDevelop both automated and manual regression test plans. \nExecute test cases and produce clear test reports. \nSupport system testing (capacity, performance, and robustness), helping design scenarios and analyze results. \nDocument bugs, issues to be resolved, and potential product improvements. \nProvide support and peer reviews for technical documentation. \nAssemble hardware for new test systems based on project requirements. \nPropose techniques, processes, and equipment needed to perform and improve functional testing. \nAnalyze and optimize testing methodologies to increase overall product quality. \nInvestigate anomalies, identify their root causes, and collaborate with development teams for resolution. \nRun all tests necessary to guarantee quality, using internal resources or external service providers. \nWork effectively with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.\nSkills and Minimum Experience Required\nTechnical Specialties\nEssential:\nSolid experience in quality assurance. \nProven experience with automated testing tools. \nExperience with communication protocols related to Building Automation Systems (BAS). \nComfortable operating with electrical voltages up to 120Vac/240Vac.\nImportant: \nStrong hands-on manual dexterity and lab assembly skills. \nKnowledge of IP networks, TCP/IP, and cybersecurity principles applied to connected systems and IoT. \nExperience in diagnostics (using packet sniffers, log analysis, and physical installation validation). \nAssets:\nKnowledge of the BACnet protocol. \nKnowledge of the Modbus protocol. \nKnowledge of the M-Bus protocol. \nFamiliarity with the Robot Framework automation tool. \nKnowledge of HVAC systems and building control sequences. \nUnderstanding of microelectronics and basic programming. \nExperience working within the Azure DevOps environment. \nGeneral Criteria\nEducation: College Diploma (DEC) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. \nExperience: 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance. \nLanguages: Full proficiency in spoken and written French; functional proficiency in written and spoken English. \nSoft Skills: Highly organized, resourceful, methodical, team-oriented, proactive, and a fast learner. \nInnovation: Ability to innovate and keep up-to-date with new software automation methodologies and tools. \nEssential Qualities\nTeam Spirit: Strong team spirit and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. \nLeadership: Autonomy, leadership, and the ability to positively influence others. \nAdaptability: Ability to initiate and successfully adapt to change. \nMethodical: Highly methodical and structured approach. \nWe value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
