Document maintenance concerns/history for the equipment.\nReport to Mechanical Supervisor for spare parts and consumables required for the activities and update spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.\nEnsure proper isolations are carried out before starting the maintenance activity on the respective equipment released for maintenance in coordination with Mechanical Supervisor and local operator.\nTrouble-shoot and diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment under his jurisdiction.\nInstalls, adjusts, inspects, services and repairs a variety of static and rotating mechanical equipment utilized in power and desalination plants.\nResponsible and accountable for proper care of tools, lifting equipment or any other related devices which are required to carry out his assigned jobs.\nCarry out all necessary preparation required for mechanical maintenance to equipment/area assigned to him.\nUnderstand working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.\nPerform 5S housekeeping in his area of work.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nJob Specifications\nEducational\nDesired\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering\nOR\nWorked as Skilled Mechanical Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years\nPreferred\nBachelor of Engineering\nMinimum Experience\nMinimum\n4 years in the same position\nOR\nWorked as Skilled Mechanical Labor in NOMAC plants for a minimum of 4 years\nPreferable\nExtensive Experience as Mechanical Technician in any of the following type: Conventional, Combined Cycle, Cogeneration, Water Desalination Plants like RO, MSF, MED etc., and Renewable Energy type (Solar, Wind Mills etc.) plants.\nRequired Skills\nGeneric awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management System principles.\nBe able to work both independently and in a team environment, completing objectives efficiently with a sense of responsibility.\nBe able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as confined spaces, working at heights and around chemicals.\nUnderstand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tag-out procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/hoist operation, welding, cutting, brazing, confined space entry, PPE etc.\nKnowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste.\nKnowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plant.\nKnowledge of firefighting equipment.\nKnowledge of First Aid measures.\nBasic Knowledge on Power/Water plant operational activities.\nBasic computer skills.\nDesired Certification / Job Specific Skill / Training\nISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working
