This position will play an important role in the development and evolution of the AM2 platform and future generations of A&D products, with a strong emphasis on printed circuit board (PCB) design, analog and digital electronics, prototype development, hardware validation, and troubleshooting.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong circuit-design fundamentals with practical experience taking electronic hardware from concept through prototype, validation, and production. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with software, firmware, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable, and innovative electronic solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nPCB & Electronic Hardware Design\nDesign analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power-electronics circuits.\nDevelop PCB schematics, layouts, and supporting design documentation for AM2 and future products.\nSelect electronic components based on performance, availability, reliability, lifecycle, and cost requirements.\nPerform circuit analysis, simulation, component evaluation, and design reviews.\nApply sound design practices related to signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal performance, and reliability.\nEnsure PCB designs meet performance, manufacturability, cost, quality, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nCollaborate with PCB fabrication and assembly partners throughout prototype and production builds.\nSupport board bring-up, debugging, design verification, and validation.\nProduct Development\nContribute to new product development and enhancements to existing A&D platforms.\nTranslate product and system requirements into hardware architectures, designs, and technical specifications.\nParticipate in architecture reviews, design reviews, risk assessments, and verification activities.\nSupport engineering technology roadmaps for future test, measurement, and control systems.\nHelp transition electronic designs from concept and prototype through production release.\nTesting, Validation & Troubleshooting\nDevelop test plans and execute hardware verification and validation activities.\nTroubleshoot electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, interfaces, and integrated system issues.\nPerform structured root-cause analysis and develop corrective actions.\nUse laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, and digital multimeters.\nSupport EMC/EMI, environmental, reliability, and product qualification testing as required.\nCross-Functional Engineering\nPartner with software and firmware engineers to integrate electronic hardware and embedded systems.\nCollaborate with mechanical engineers on packaging, connector interfaces, thermal management, and manufacturability.\nSupport manufacturing and quality teams during prototype builds, production launches, and issue resolution.\nWork with suppliers to resolve component, PCB fabrication, and assembly issues.\nProvide technical input during engineering design reviews and customer-facing project discussions.\nEngineering Documentation\nCreate and maintain accurate engineering documentation, including:Electrical schematics and PCB layouts\nBills of Materials (BOMs)\nDesign specifications\nTest plans and procedures\nVerification and validation records\nEngineering change documentation\nMaintain documentation in accordance with A&D configuration-management and engineering-change-control processes.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n3+ years of professional experience designing electronic hardware and PCBs.\nHands-on experience with PCB schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, KiCad, or similar ECAD platforms.\nStrong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, mixed-signal electronics, power electronics, signal and power integrity, EMC/EMI design considerations, and microcontrollers or embedded systems.\nDemonstrated ability to develop and interpret electronic schematics.\nExperience performing PCB bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation.\nProficiency using common electronic laboratory and test equipment.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing electronics for automotive, propulsion, test and measurement, industrial, or other highly engineered products.\nExperience with communications interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and UART.\nFamiliarity with embedded firmware development.\nExperience with FPGA-based systems.\nKnowledge of IPC standards and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) practices.\nExperience supporting a product from initial concept through prototype, verification, production release, and lifecycle support.\nUnderstanding of automotive functional-safety, EMC, reliability, and environmental requirements.\nExperience working directly with PCB fabrication and electronics manufacturing suppliers.\nSuccess Measures\nDeliver high-quality PCB and electronic hardware designs on schedule.\nSupport successful development and enhancement of the AM2 platform.\nReduce hardware defects through disciplined design, review, testing, and validation practices.\nImprove product reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.\nResolve hardware issues quickly through effective troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.\nCollaborate effectively across engineering and manufacturing disciplines to accelerate product
