For the Baker, this means preparing high-quality baked goods from scratch or using approved recipes, maintaining consistent product quality, freshness, and presentation, and following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Baker is also responsible for measuring, mixing, and baking products, rotating stock to ensure freshness, keeping the work area clean and organized, and working collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production goals and customer demand.\nYour Day-to-Day\nProvide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and take orders in person or by phone\nReview daily goals with the bakery manager or assistant and check product needs for the day\nPrepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, scones, and muffins, following bakery recipes\nMeasure, mix, scale, bake, and finish products, ensuring quality, freshness, and proper labeling\nMaintain strong product knowledge, including ingredients and allergen information, to assist customers\nRotate stock for freshness and keep cases and sale tables full, clean, and visually appealing\nMaintain cleanliness and organization in all bakery areas, washing and storing equipment properly\nPrioritize customer assistance over other tasks to ensure exceptional service\nWhat you bring to the Farm\nKnowledge on Bakery recipes and products\nUnderstanding how to correctly and accurately measure, and read recipe directions\nExcellent customer service skills\nAccurately use mixers, blenders, slicers, ovens and any other equipment within the Bakery\nWillingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers\nExhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality\nAbility to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values\nWorking Conditions\nMust be at least 18 years old\nConsistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds\nSafely use all ovens, slicers, mixers, blenders and any other equipment necessary to run the Bakery\nAbility to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift\nOccasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift\nCommunicate with others to exchange information\nMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces\nPerks of the Job\nAt Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits.
