You’ll work directly with the founders and help make foundational decisions about the product, culture, and company future employees will inherit.\nAbout the role\nYou'll own the systems that let Adapt agents run code and complete real work, from sandbox orchestration to storage and core infrastructure. This is a product-focused engineering role. You'll work with customers, ship user-facing improvements, and measure success through reliability, performance, and cost.\nWe prefer candidates who can work from our Presidio office in San Francisco. We're open to remote work or relocation for the right candidate.\nWhat you will do\nBuild and scale secure, multi-tenant sandbox orchestration and distributed storage.\nImprove the reliability, performance, and cost of customer workloads.\nOwn deployments, observability, runbooks, and on-call support for the systems you ship.\nWork directly with customers and engineers to solve problems across infrastructure and product.\nMake clear architecture decisions, ship in small increments, and help teammates grow.\nAbout you\n4+ years of engineering experience, with substantial infrastructure ownership, ideally at an early-stage company.\nExperience operating multi-tenant compute systems, including isolation, reliability, and cost.\nStrong Rust or Go skills, Linux fundamentals, and fluency in TypeScript or an appetite to learn.\nHands-on cloud, Kubernetes, and container or microVM experience, including runtimes such as Firecracker or gVisor.\nBenefits\nEquity in an early-stage company.\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage, subject to plan terms and eligibility.\nTop-tier equipment and the peripherals you need.\nAccess to frontier AI tools and Adapt.\nDaily catered lunch, snacks, and coffee in our Presidio office.\nSan Francisco Bay Area base salary is $200,000-$300,000.
