You will work closely with engineering colleagues to turn technical requirements into infrastructure that is secure, efficient, and straightforward to maintain.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nYou will manage Linux infrastructure across physical and virtual environments, supporting its full lifecycle - from initial setup and configuration to maintenance, troubleshooting, and recovery.\n\nAlongside day-to-day operations, you will improve automation, strengthen security practices, and help the team make informed decisions about infrastructure design and deployment. The role requires practical engineering judgment, clear communication, and confidence working with changing priorities.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain and improve the availability, performance, and security of production Linux systems.\n\nDevelop automation for infrastructure deployment, configuration, maintenance, and recovery.\n\nInvestigate incidents and resolve issues involving servers, operating systems, connectivity, and storage.\n\nManage virtualized and containerized environments, selecting configurations appropriate to operational requirements.\n\nApply access controls, system hardening, and resource separation to support secure service delivery.\n\nCollaborate with engineering teams and external service providers on infrastructure changes and maintenance.\n\nImprove monitoring, technical documentation, and operational procedures.\n\nParticipate in incident response and the team’s on-call rotation.\n\nRequired Competence and Skills:\n\n8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, SRE, or similar roles.\n\nStrong experience administering Linux in production, including physical server environments.\n\nAbility to diagnose operating-system and infrastructure issues beyond the application layer.\n\nExperience using automation to manage multiple servers consistently.\n\nProficiency in Python and practical experience with Terraform.\n\nWorking knowledge of virtualization, containers, networking, and storage.\n\nExperience maintaining systems remotely and restoring service following failures.\n\nUnderstanding of infrastructure security, access management, and workload separation.\n\nAbility to own technical work from planning through implementation and ongoing support.\n\nClear English communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.\n\nNice to Have:\n\nExperience supporting resource-intensive or performance-sensitive applications.\n\nBackground in hosting, data centers, cloud infrastructure, or managed services.\n\nFamiliarity with hardware selection, capacity planning, and performance optimization.\n\nExperience working across multiple infrastructure environments or
