{"id":1274166,"url":"https://alion.io/job/addcel-design-engineer-acmv","title":"Design Engineer (ACMV)","company":{"id":275370,"name":"Addcel","domain":"addcel.com.sg","url":"https://alion.io/company/addcel","size_band":"201-500","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":null,"truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":"middle","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Singapore"],"countries":["SG"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":3500,"max":5000,"currency":"SGD","period":"month","gross":true,"usd_annual":46980},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"AutoCAD","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-03T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-09-03T00:00:00Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":25,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":25},"description":"Addcel has been delivering deep value to clients across Semi-con, Pharmaceutical, Data Centers & Oil & Gas industries since 2010.\nSpecialising in Design & Build of process utility systems, prefabrication/ DFMA, facility & plant maintenance and construction implementation, we take pride and passion in all that we do.\nJob Description\nResponsible for the complete design and engineering of ACMV systems, from initial design concept through to detailed design and project implementation.\n\nDevelop and coordinate complete ACMV systems, including air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation, chilled water systems, ductwork, piping, pumps, AHU, FCU, cooling towers, chillers, exhaust systems, fresh air systems, and associated equipment.\n\nPerform ACMV engineering calculations including cooling load, heat load, ventilation requirements, air quantity, duct sizing, pipe sizing, pump head, pressure loss, equipment capacity, and system balancing.\n\nDevelop practical and cost-effective ACMV design solutions based on project requirements, site conditions, specifications, and applicable standards.\n\nPrepare and review ACMV layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, detailed drawings, equipment schedules, and technical submissions.\n\nReview project specifications, tender drawings, design requirements, and consultant drawings to ensure complete understanding of the ACMV scope.\n\nCoordinate ACMV systems with structural, architectural, electrical, piping, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.\n\nEnsure proper system integration, equipment arrangement, accessibility, maintenance requirements, and constructability.\n\nReview shop drawings, technical submissions, material proposals, and engineering calculations.\n\nProvide technical support to project and site teams and resolve design, coordination, and installation issues.\n\nConduct site inspections and verify that ACMV installations are in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.\n\nLiaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams on technical and design matters.\n\nAssist with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, balancing, and handover of ACMV systems.\n\nEnsure designs comply with relevant Singapore codes, standards, authority requirements, project specifications, and safety requirements.\n\nTake ownership of assigned design work and ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.\n\nTo be a good fit, you would possess these qualities and skills\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum 3 years of relevant ACMV design and engineering experience.\n\nMust have strong and comprehensive knowledge of the full ACMV system, from design concept and calculations through to installation, testing, commissioning, and operation.\n\nStrong understanding of chilled water systems, air-conditioning systems, mechanical ventilation, fresh air systems, exhaust systems, ductwork, chilled water piping, pumps, AHU, FCU, chillers, cooling towers, and associated ACMV equipment.\n\nAble to independently carry out ACMV design calculations, equipment selection, system sizing, and technical design development.\n\nProficient in AutoCAD;
