Operating at the intersection of engineering and client success, you will serve as Addepar's technical vanguard - translating complex business requirements into production-grade systems while driving onboarding efficiency and operational scale. You will be the technical expert across Addepar's full solution suite - from API integrations and automation frameworks to advanced data platforms (including our white-labeled Databricks offering, ADX) and AI-driven tooling - solving our clients' most challenging problems. This role combines a forward-deployed model with deep technical expertise in modern software engineering and financial data systems.\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDeploy directly to client sites (virtual or in-person) to architect, build, and deliver custom integrations, automations, and data pipelines using Addepar's APIs, ADX (Databricks), and modern engineering tools\nDesign and implement production-grade solutions that dramatically improve client onboarding efficiency, reduce time-to-value, and enable operational scale\nBuild intelligent automation leveraging AI, LLMs, and machine learning to solve complex data transformation, validation, and reconciliation challenges\nServe as the technical owner for ADX implementations, designing robust data infrastructure within Databricks to streamline client data onboarding and analytics\nTranslate ambiguous client requirements into flexible, scalable technical solutions through deep discovery, prototyping, and iterative delivery\nWrite production-quality Python code for ETL pipelines, API integrations, data validation frameworks, and automation tooling\nLead technical workstreams end-to-end, from requirements gathering through production deployment, owning outcomes and client success\nCollaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services teams to identify opportunities for productization and influence platform roadmap\nDevelop internal tools, frameworks, and best practices that accelerate delivery across the broader team\nEffectively set, manage, and communicate technical expectations with both client stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams\nPrioritize and context-switch effectively across simultaneous client engagements, seeing each through to successful completion\nAct as a technical advisor and trusted partner to clients, proactively identifying opportunities to drive additional value\nWho You Are \nMinimum 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or forward-deployed technical roles\nAdvanced proficiency in Python with experience building production-grade applications, APIs, and data pipelines\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, authentication patterns, and integration architecture\nHands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and distributed data processing frameworks\nProficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets across relational and NoSQL databases\nExperience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for complex data transformations\nFamiliarity with AI/ML tools and experience implementing LLM-driven automation solutions\nStrong understanding of financial data domains including portfolio management, performance analytics, and multi-asset class portfolios\nExceptional problem-solving abilities with a solutions-oriented mindset and bias for action\nOutstanding communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences\nProven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards\nExperience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices\nIndependent, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for client impact\nStrong work ethic, proactive approach, and high contributing teammate\nAddepar takes a market-based approach to pay.
