More than 95% of all Addepar traffic flows through this infrastructure; you will be responsible for the next generation of development, tooling, and CI/CD systems which empower Addepar to serve our clients.\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and build distributed microservice components in Addepar’s calculation engine - a data intensive application\nScale our Java-based calculation engine to 100x larger workloads using best-of-breed time series analytics database technologies\nGet involved in the decision process to make the best decision to scale with the consideration of data consistency, throughput, speed, operability and cost\nProfile and improve system efficiency in a highly concurrent platform\nWho You Are\n7+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience\nExperience with Object Oriented programming languages\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to explore complex problems spaces objectively from multiple points of view, utilizing both legacy tools and modern technologies to drive outcomes\nGeneral familiarity with some of the technologies we use: \nJava, Python, SQL, SQS, relational databases and key-value stores.\nKubernetes\nLinux proficiency, basic shell scripting and a solid grasp of systems level programming is a plus\nAddepar takes a market-based approach to pay.
