This role supports the calibration team by ensuring instruments meet all operational and performance specifications before being returned to customers. The Calibration Technician I works under close supervision and gains hands-on experience with advanced laboratory equipment, calibration methods, and quality control processes\nKey Responsibilities\nCalibration & Testing:\nPerform routine calibration, verification, and testing of Aqualab instruments following established work instructions and quality procedures.\nRecord and maintain accurate calibration data and performance results.\nIdentify basic instrument issues and communicate findings to senior technicians or supervisors.\nQuality & Documentation:\nEnsure all calibration results comply with ISO and company quality standards.\nComplete all required documentation accurately in the company database or calibration management system.\nLabel instruments according to proper quality guidelines.\nTechnical Support:\nAssist in troubleshooting instrument performance issues under the guidance of senior technicians.\nParticipate in cross-training opportunities to build understanding of repair and service procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts to enhance calibration accuracy and efficiency.\nSafety & Compliance:\nFollow all lab safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\n\nProperly handle calibration standards and materials to prevent contamination or damage.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field preferred.\n1-3 years of experience in calibration, electronics testing, laboratory work, or related technical field (training provided).\nBasic understanding of measurement, calibration, and quality control principles.\nAbility to use standard laboratory instruments and hand tools.\nStrong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and recordkeeping accuracy.\nGood problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technical procedures.\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities.\nProficiency with computers and ability to learn calibration software systems.\nPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:\nWork is performed in a laboratory environment with bench-level equipment.\nRequires regular handling of small components and precision tools.\nMust be able to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs.Standard work schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary \nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) retirement plan with a company match (up to 4% after your first year)\nPaid Time Off, Sick Leave, and 11 Paid Holidays \nCompany-paid life and disability insurance \nHSA with company contribution and FSA options\nA small, focused team that moves fast and gives you the room to actually build something\nAddium, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
