The Additive Operator is responsible for machine operation, material handling, and part breakout within an established quality system. Prior additive manufacturing experience is not required; structured on-the-job training and formal qualification are provided.\nSTART HERE. GROW HERE WITH FOLLOWING CAREER PATHS:\nPRODUCTION AND LEADERSHIP: Operator - Product Handler - Material Handler - Setup Technician - Setup Supervisor\nQUALITY CONTROL: Operator - QC Inspector - QC Technician - QC Supervisor\n RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSet up, start, and monitor builds on Additive equipment in accordance with approved work instructions and travelers.\nPerform pre-build verification of machine condition, powder level, and material identity prior to each build.\nHandle polymer powder including weighing, sieving, and blending to the approved refresh ratio, and maintain lot identity and labeling on all containers.\nPerform cake removal, part recovery, and powder reclaim within designated containment areas.\nVerify parts against the job sheet and drawing and identify and segregate nonconforming or questionable parts for review.\nComplete build logs, powder transaction logs, traveler signoffs, and ERP transactions accurately and at the time of work.\nMaintain the assigned work area to established 5S and combustible-dust housekeeping standards.\nTransfer identified parts and associated documentation to the Finishing department.\nEscalate machine alarms, process deviations, and abnormal conditions to the Additive Technician.\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person citizenship status.\nRequirements\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to read, interpret, and execute detailed written work instructions.\nWorking knowledge of basic mathematics including weights, ratios, and percentages.\nBasic computer proficiency and the ability to perform data entry in a manufacturing system.\nManual dexterity sufficient for handling small and thin-walled components without damage.\nAbility to pass a respirator fit test and receive medical clearance for respirator use.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for the duration of a shift.\nDemonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience in additive manufacturing, powder coating, foundry operations, composites, or another powder- or dust-controlled environment.\nExperience working under ISO 9001, AS9100, or a comparable quality management system.\nExperience with Epicor or another manufacturing ERP system.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nIndustrial manufacturing environment. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear are required throughout production areas.\nRegular exposure to airborne polymer powder and particulates. The ability to work in these conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation, is an essential function of this position.\nRespiratory protection is required for designated powder-handling tasks.
