This role balances customer and project commitments with available capacity, materials, labor, equipment, outside processing, and intercompany resources to establish realistic and achievable delivery timelines.\nThe Master Scheduler serves as a key cross-functional partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Project Management, Operations, and Solutions, proactively identifying constraints and risks, driving resolution, and ensuring schedule commitments remain aligned with business and customer requirements.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nMaster Schedule Ownership\nDevelop, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule across additive and subtractive manufacturing operations.\nBalance customer and project requirements against machine capacity, labor availability, materials, outside processing, lead times, and other operational constraints.\nEstablish realistic production timelines and proactively identify schedule conflicts, bottlenecks, and risks.\nMaintain visibility to schedule performance and communicate changes, risks, and required actions to stakeholders.\nEnsure the master schedule reflects current business priorities and customer commitments.\nCapacity Planning\nMonitor and evaluate machine, labor, outside processing, and intercompany capacity to support current and future demand.\nIdentify capacity constraints and develop recommendations for schedule adjustments, resource allocation, overtime, outsourcing, or other corrective actions.\nPartner with Manufacturing and Operations leadership to identify capacity requirements and support short- and long-term capacity planning.\nEvaluate the impact of capacity constraints on customer commitments and project timelines.\nProject and Order Prioritization\nEstablish production priorities based on customer commitments, project milestones, material availability, capacity, business requirements, and overall delivery impact.\nRe-sequence work as priorities, customer requirements, or operational constraints change.\nEvaluate the downstream impact of schedule changes and communicate priorities and trade-offs to affected departments.\nEnsure priorities are clearly understood across functional teams.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nPartner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Project Management, Operations, and Solutions to maintain alignment with the master schedule.\nLead or participate in regular schedule and production reviews.\nCommunicate schedule changes, risks, constraints, recovery actions, and required decisions.\nDrive cross-functional alignment when competing priorities or constraints impact customer or project commitments.\nOutside Processing (OSP) Management\nPartner with Purchasing and other stakeholders to identify, plan, and monitor outside processing requirements.\nEnsure OSP activities are incorporated into the master schedule and tracked through completion.\nProactively identify supplier or OSP delays that could impact production or customer commitments.\nEscalate risks and coordinate recovery actions when OSP performance threatens the schedule.\nIntercompany Scheduling\nCoordinate with intercompany manufacturing sites to establish realistic timelines, capacity requirements, priorities, and handoffs.\nIncorporate intercompany requirements and commitments into the master schedule.\nTrack intercompany work through completion and ensure schedule expectations are clearly understood and maintained.\nIdentify potential delivery gaps early and work with stakeholders to determine the appropriate manufacturing path and recovery actions required to achieve on-time customer delivery.\nManufacturing Review and Quoting Support\nPartner with the Solutions Team during the quoting process to evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects and establish a clear path to execution.\nProvide input regarding ESD requirements, powder availability, outside processing, additive and subtractive manufacturing constraints, capacity, lead times, and other potential execution risks.\nParticipate in Manufacturing Reviews for new and existing work.\nProvide scheduling and lead-time input to ensure quoted delivery dates are achievable and supported by available capacity and resources.\nIdentify potential execution risks early enough to influence quoting, planning, and project commitments.\nSchedule Recovery\nDevelop and coordinate recovery plans for jobs or projects that fall behind schedule.\nPartner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Operations, and other stakeholders to coordinate expedited materials, OSP, intercompany work, overtime, re-prioritization, or other recovery actions.\nAssess the impact of recovery actions on other customer and project commitments.\nCommunicate revised timelines, risks, and recovery plans to appropriate stakeholders.\nEscalate issues requiring leadership decisions or resource intervention.\nERP/MRP Planning Data and Risk Management\nMaintain accurate and reliable planning and scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system.\nEnsure production dates, lead times, routings, work centers, capacity parameters, and other planning inputs accurately reflect current operating conditions.\nIdentify and correct data issues that could negatively impact scheduling, capacity planning, or delivery commitments.\nMaintain visibility to significant schedule risks and constraints and ensure appropriate actions and owners are identified.\nPartner with functional teams to improve the accuracy and reliability of planning data.\nContinuous Improvement\nAnalyze scheduling constraints, recurring delays, capacity issues, and bottlenecks to identify opportunities for improvement.\nDevelop and implement improvements to scheduling processes, planning parameters, and cross-functional workflows.\nUse schedule performance and operational data to identify root causes and improve planning accuracy and execution.\nPromote standardized planning and scheduling practices that improve on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and overall operational performance.\nKey Measures of Success\nOn-time delivery to customer and project commitments.\nMaster schedule accuracy and adherence.\nEffective utilization of available manufacturing and outside processing capacity.\nReduction of schedule disruptions, bottlenecks, and avoidable delays.\nTimely identification and resolution of schedule risks.\nAccuracy and reliability of ERP/MRP planning data.\nEffectiveness and timeliness of schedule recovery plans.\nCross-functional alignment and responsiveness to changing business priorities.\nTimely and accurate scheduling, capacity, lead-time, and manufacturing feasibility input during the quoting process.\nAccuracy and achievability of quoted delivery dates based on available capacity, materials, outside processing, intercompany resources, and manufacturing constraints.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment
