Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual serves as the primary analytical resource to site leadership - diving deep into operational data, business performance, and process improvement opportunities to drive better decisions and outcomes. The role provides financial partnership and leadership: this person will work with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis, serving as the conduit between Operations and the Finance function. The expected balance is approximately 75% business and operational analytics, and 25% financial planning and analysis support. The role demands a rigorous, creative problem-solver who can turn complex data into clear operational and financial insight and action.\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and requires U.S. person status.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nBusiness & Operational Analytics (75%)\nServe as the primary analytical business partner to site leaders and operations management at Wright City, MO and Baltimore, MD - the go-to resource for data-driven decision support.\nDesign and maintain operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance scorecards to give leadership real-time visibility into site performance.\nConduct deep-dive analyses into production efficiency, throughput, capacity utilization, scrap/yield, labor productivity, and other operational metrics; surface trends and recommend corrective actions.\nBuild models and scenario analyses to evaluate operational decisions, capital investments, process changes, and make-vs-buy trade-offs.\nIdentify working capital improvement opportunities through analysis of inventory, WIP, and operational cost drivers.\nPartner with site leaders to develop and track improvement initiatives; quantify impact and report progress.\nProactively leverage AI tools - including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and others - to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, and surface insights faster; this is a core expectation of the role.\nSupport additional business analytical requirements at other ADDMAN sites as needed.\nPrepare and present clear, executive-ready summaries and presentations for COO and senior leadership.\nIdentify and drive continuous improvement in analytical processes and reporting infrastructure.\nFinancial Partnership (25%)\nAct as the conduit between the Operations team and Finance - translating financial results into operational context and operational realities into financial planning inputs.\nLead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the Precision Machining business units.\nPerform margin analysis across products, customers, and processes; identify opportunities to improve contribution margins.\nSupport cost accounting activities including variance analysis, overhead rate review, and standard cost inputs.\nPartner with site Controllers on month-end close activities, variance explanations, and ad hoc financial analyses.\nPerform other related duties and special projects as assigned.\nRequirements\nSKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills - able to structure ambiguous problems, build rigorous models, and extract clear insight from complex operational data.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to connect operational performance to business and financial outcomes in a manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with AI tools - including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar - to accelerate day-to-day analytical and reporting tasks; this is a core expectation and will be assessed during the interview process.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data modeling; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools strongly preferred.\nExperience with ERP systems (Infor and Epicor experience is a plus) and financial planning tools (Vena is a plus).\nDemonstrated ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to present complex data clearly to both operational and executive audiences.\nFinancial literacy including familiarity with P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting concepts.\nStrong organizational skills; able to manage multiple workstreams independently with minimal direction.\nCollaborative, service-oriented approach to business partnering.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, or a related analytical field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.\n5-8+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, operations analysis, or a closely related field; FP&A experience is a plus but not the primary focus.\nPrior experience in a manufacturing environment is required; precision machining, aerospace, or defense industry experience is strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated track record as a hands-on analytical partner to an Operations or manufacturing team.\nCost accounting experience required, including standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing overhead analysis.\nDemonstrated proficiency using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve and accelerate analytical workflows; candidates should be prepared to discuss specific use cases during interviews.\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in a manufacturing context.\nCandidate must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship and must be an eligible U.S. Person (ITAR requirement).\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nThis role is on-site at either the Wright City, MO or Baltimore, MD Precision Machining facility. The work environment includes both professional office settings and active manufacturing floor environments. Standard office equipment is used regularly.
