Asisstant IT Manager

Job Summary

Supports the IT Manager in leading the property’s Information Resources (IR) function. Oversees technology planning, implementation, maintenance, and vendor management. Acts as escalation point for technical issues and ensures compliance with brand standards, SOPs, and cybersecurity policies. Coordinates cross-departmental technology initiatives and contributes to budget input, CAPEX planning, and internal/external audit participation

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; 4+ years of progressive IT experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or senior technical role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications: CCNA is preferred.
• Hotel-specific system knowledge: Opera PMS, Micros/Oracle POS
• Experience with KVKK/GDPR compliance, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience with Checkpoint Firewall and Aruba Wi-Fi
• Windows Server Family/Office 365

Core Work Activities

Technology Operations & Infrastructure Management

• Manages deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, network systems, and collaboration platforms.
• Oversees backup/recovery operations, system administration, and proactive monitoring to ensure 24/7 infrastructure availability.
• Maintains structured cabling, physical infrastructure, and asset inventory lifecycle.
• Administers email, identity management, and endpoint security solutions.
• Leads troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues; serves as final escalation point before IT Manager.

Vendor Management

• Coordinates vendors for procurement, SLA enforcement, and project delivery; negotiates service terms within approved budgets.
• Acts as primary liaison between property staff, owners, and corporate IR on technology matters.

Compliance, Security & Project Execution

• Enforces IR policies, brand standards, SOPs, and cybersecurity protocols across all departments.
• Monitors KVKK/GDPR compliance for guest and employee data handling.
• Tracks and reports on IT projects, system outages, and KPIs; keeps stakeholders informed at all stages.
• Identifies technology gaps and proposes cost-effective solutions aligned with operational priorities.

Technical Expertise & Continuous Improvement

• Maintains current technical certifications and industry knowledge; applies best practices to property operations.
• Trains end-users on new applications and security awareness; creates user guides and status communications.
• Evaluates emerging technologies to improve efficiency, guest experience, or cost savings.
