From early-stage discovery through commercialization, Omnicom Health Medical Communications partners with the medical communications community across the lifecycle of their assets-supercharging their science to engage and reach healthcare professionals.\n*LI Remote\nSenior AI Engineer, Agentic Solutions & Workflows\nRole Summary\nThe Senior AI Engineer, Agentic Solutions & Workflows is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and optimizing AI-powered agents, workflows, and automation solutions that transform how teams work.\nWorking closely with AI leadership, solution architects, Experience Strategy, Digital Delivery, scientific and client-facing teams, this individual translates real-world business needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions. The role will focus on applying generative and agentic AI to workflows across Medical Affairs, Publications, Scientific Communications, Commercial Medical Communications, and other areas of the organization.\nThis role combines strong technical AI capabilities with practical problem solving and requires someone who can move from use-case discovery and solution design through prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.\nThis role focuses on building individual agents while working with the AI solutions architect and other business unit specialists\nPrimary Responsibilities\nAI Platform Architecture\nTranslate complex business processes into AI-enabled workflows, identifying where AI, automation, and human intervention should be applied.\nDevelop reusable agents, workflow components, prompts, and AI accelerators that can scale across teams and accounts.\nBuild solutions using enterprise AI platforms, large language models, APIs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and related AI technologies.\nCollaborate with AI Architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, governance, data privacy, and platform standards.\nPartner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Publications, Scientific Services, Strategy, Digital, and client teams to identify and scope high-value AI use cases.\nFacilitate workflow discovery sessions to understand current processes, pain points, inputs, outputs, decision points, and opportunities for AI enablement.\nPrototype and test new AI solutions rapidly, incorporating feedback from subject matter experts and end users.\nEstablish systematic testing and evaluation approaches for AI outputs, including accuracy, consistency, reliability, and adherence to defined requirements.\nOptimize prompts, agent instructions, knowledge sources, retrieval strategies, and workflow logic to improve solution performance.\nTroubleshoot technical and output-quality issues and continuously refine deployed agents based on user feedback and performance.\nSupport the integration of AI solutions with knowledge bases, document repositories, APIs, and enterprise platforms where appropriate.\nDevelop documentation, user guidance, and training materials to support successful deployment and adoption.\nPartner with Digital PMs and delivery teams to move solutions from prototype through testing, controlled release, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.\nMonitor developments in generative AI, agentic AI, LLMs, and automation technologies and identify opportunities to apply emerging capabilities to client and agency workflows.\nKey Areas of Focus\nThe role will initially focus on developing AI-enabled solutions for workflows including:\nCommercial, Publications and Medical Affairs workflows\nScientific and medical literature research\nContent research and synthesis\nScientific content drafting and transformation\nCongress content development\nData and content extraction\nDocument and slide development\nSummarization\nQuality control and consistency checking\nContent review and compliance support\nKnowledge retrieval\nWorkflow and process automation\nRequired Experience\nRequired\nDemonstrated hands-on experience building solutions using generative AI and large language models.\nExperience designing and developing AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered applications.\nStrong understanding of prompt engineering and LLM behavior.\nExperience with APIs and systems integration.\nAbility to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.\nExperience taking solutions from prototype through testing and production deployment.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot both technical issues and AI output-quality challenges.\nPreferred Experience\n4-7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, automation, data engineering, or related technical roles.\nExperience working with Python and/or other relevant programming languages.\nFamiliarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, embeddings, and enterprise knowledge architectures.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or similar enterprise ecosystems.\nExperience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other foundation model APIs.\nFamiliarity with multi-agent architectures and workflow orchestration frameworks.\nExperience working with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and enterprise knowledge repositories.\nHealthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience.\nUnderstanding of Commercial, Medical Affairs, Publications, or medical communications workflows is highly desirable.\n\n$145,000-$185,000\nTo the extent permissible by local law, Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.\nOmnicom is committed to hiring and developing exceptional talent.
