This role leverages deep product expertise to support the sales organization, prospective customers, and existing customers through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution design. The Senior Solutions Engineer partners closely with sales staff to assess how company products can address the needs of both new and existing customers, and translates those needs into detailed technical specifications, prototypes, and implementation plans.\nThis is an individual contributor role.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as the primary technical resource for the sales team throughout the pre-sales cycle, delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs to prospective and existing customers.\nPartner with sales staff to evaluate the requirements of prospective and existing customers and determine how company products and solutions can be configured or extended to meet those needs, including expansion or upsell opportunities within the existing customer base.\nDevelop detailed product, design, and implementation specifications for complex customer solutions.\nBuild proof-of-concept applications or rapid prototypes based on customer requirements to demonstrate technical feasibility and product capability.\nProvide technical consultation to prospective and existing customers, including capability assessments and solution validation.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor to both sales staff and customers, addressing complex technical questions and objections during the sales process.\nCollaborate with product, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable.\nStay current on product roadmap, capabilities, and competitive landscape to effectively position solutions.\nRequirements & Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or related customer-facing technical role.\nDemonstrated ability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions and specifications.\nStrong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nExperience building prototypes, proofs of concept, or technical demonstrations in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.\nSolid understanding of the company's relevant product suite and underlying technologies (or comparable industry experience).\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and prioritize effectively under deadline pressure.\nExperience partnering with sales teams in a consultative, quota-influencing capacity.\nWillingness to travel to customer sites as needed.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4067,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Software","Billing & Subscription Management","Legal Software"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-29T14:30:24Z"}],"liveness":{"score":33,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.594,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":38,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:31","velocity","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/aderant-senior-solutions-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/aderant-senior-solutions-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T21:18:46Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3958,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1042,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
