Leads technical matters effectively with various departments, to review technical modifications for rigs as well as quality assurance/quality control and acceptance procedures for rig equipment ensuring all installations and repairs adhere to ADES and client standards. Verifies that electrical components and systems consistently meet project specifications, regulatory compliance, and established industry standards.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nElectrical Design and Engineering \nDevelops, reviews, and approves electrical designs, plans, and specifications, ensuring they comply with standards and project requirements.\nDesign and maintain PLC-based control systems for rig automation including VFDs, Amphion/Cyber Base, and SCR or equivalent platforms.\nDesign and maintain UPS systems, engine controls, and power distribution networks to ensure uninterrupted rig operations\nCoordinates with other discipline leads (e.g., Mechanical, HSE, Well Control,) to ensure integrated and efficient project execution.\nProject Management \nManages the electrical project scope, including timeline, budget, and resources, while identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.\nMonitors that all Project Electrical activities are conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with ADES procedures, contractual requirements, and best industry practice.\nOversees the ordering of electrical components for projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.\nAttends all critical projects activities, to the extent that other operational requirements allow\nParticipates in project review meetings to manage and develop installation plan based upon information provided including the following: project installation schedules, personnel requirements, equipment requirements, and contractual requirements.\nDevelops comprehensive reports that provide detailed technical information on project progress.\nOperational Control\nAssists in implementing and maintaining operational controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks.\nCollaborate with drilling teams to ensure electrical integration and functionality of NOV or equivalent drilling equipment.\nParticipates in rig inspections/investigations, including electricians, environment, equipment, and QHSE incidents.\nMonitors that the correction process of deficiencies is completed in a timely manner and maintains records and documentation accordingly.\nLeads or supports electrical inspections aligned with rig commissioning and marine class requirements\nSafety and Compliance \nEnsures all electrical activities are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.\nEnsure safety-critical systems (Fire & Gas, ESD) comply with Class survey standards and regulatory codes\nOversees the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.\nDevelops and implements safety procedures and protocols for electrical operations.\nProcess Improvement \nDevelops and improves department processes and methods to enhance the functions and operations of the electrical controls and commissioning group.\nPromotes innovation and continuous improvement in electrical design and project execution processes.\nInitiates corrective actions to rectify any deviation from approved work procedures and instructions.\nCommunications and Monitoring Systems: \nOversee installation and maintenance of vessel communication, tank gauging, and crane monitoring systems.\nStakeholder Management\nOversees contractors and lead personnel including the power & control technicians and commissioning team to achieve safety schedule, productivity, and quality targets.\nCommunicates with Interaction service companies, customers and vendors through the quoting scheduling, cost reviewing, design, assembly, spare part orders and delivery processes, assisting to resolve challenges and questions.\nCollaborates and maintains effective communication with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and promptly escalates critical rig-related issues to management.\nTeam Management \nLeads and manages the electrical team, assigning tasks, and providing technical guidance and support to ensure project objectives are achieved.\nDevelops and maintain a high-performing electrical team through effective training, coaching, and mentoring.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.\nExtensive experience (8 to 10 Years) in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of leading electrical aspects of major projects.\nDeep understanding of electrical design, power systems, and control systems.\nFamiliarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight
