In this role, you will lead challenging customer projects and act as the Single Point of Contact for select Service Level Agreements.\nTasks\nWhat You Will Do with Us\nAct as the technical lead on complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met.\nLead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders, align expectations, and turn ambiguity into clear next steps.\nAnticipate organizational and delivery risks, and address them early through structured communication in complex, high-pressure customer environments.\nManage complex, critical systems, apply updates, and resolve incidents to keep them on track.\nPlan and implement sophisticated (multi-)cloud or on-premises platforms.\nProvide comprehensive support, tackle high-priority issues, and assist junior and professional team members in critical situations.\nRequirements\nMust-Have Hard Skills\nFive to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments.\nA strong DevOps background: CNCF and HashiCorp stacks, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps are your bread and butter.\nBroad experience in software development, cloud migration, and platform engineering.\nStrong networking skills and the ability to translate advanced concepts into smart network designs.\nAbility to identify security vulnerabilities early and address them effectively.\nExpertise in improving automations and building new ones to enhance operations.\nA sound understanding of how to align technology, architecture, and business requirements in complex customer environments.\nMust-Have Soft Skills\nYou understand client needs, navigate demanding stakeholder situations with clarity and tact, and build strong, trust-based relationships.\nYou identify risks and dependencies early, address them proactively, and create clarity in complex situations.\nYou thrive on challenges and see solutions where others see problems.\nQuality matters to you, and you take full responsibility for your work.\nYou work hands-on, support others in critical moments, and keep the right stakeholders aligned.\nNice-to-Have Qualifications\nProficiency in both written and spoken German.\nGitLab, IBM (HashiCorp), Red Hat, and/or SUSE certifications.\nExperience with SUSE products.\nAWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications.\nBenefits\nWe're REALLY serious about Open Source.
