The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls and providing financial insights to support our business objectives. \n\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nReview and approve purchase orders of all entities daily\n\nPost and verify the payroll data for all entities monthly\n\nFacilitate the approval process of fixed asset acquisitions and disposals\n\nConduct month-end and year-end closing processes, including recurring entries, intercompany reconciliations, and maintenance of monthly schedules, ensuring accurate reconciliation to the general ledger.\n\nPrepare and conduct quarterly and yearly variance analysis (e.g. budget vs actual and prior periods).\n\nGenerate monthly division reports for distribution to sales teams.\n\nDevelop and upload annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts.\n\nCompile quarterly financial data to support Head Office financial reporting.\n\nConduct profitability analysis.\n\nAct as the primary contact for audits (internal and external), collaborating with the Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.\n\nPrepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.\n\nPrepare quarterly VAT filings for all entities\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making\n\nPrepare ad hoc reports and assist in special projects as requested by the Director of Finance and Investments and Accounting Manager.\n\nProvide backup support for other finance functions as needed.\n\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA or equivalent certification is preferred (or actively pursuing).\n\n3+ years of accounting and audit experience in a senior or supervisory role is a must.
