This position is responsible for maintaining material availability through inventory monitoring, receiving operations, warehouse organization, inventory control, and material planning activities.\nThe Materials Coordinator works closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Inventory teams to ensure accurate inventory records, efficient material flow, and uninterrupted production operations. This role is responsible for identifying replenishment needs, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and driving continuous improvements in inventory control and materials management.\nThe successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes ownership of inventory accuracy, material availability, and warehouse organization.\nKey Accountabilities\nAccurately receive incoming shipments, verifying quantity and quality of goods and promptly putting materials away.\nMaintain warehouse and materials areas to established 5S standards, utilizing bin location systems, Kanban processes, and visual inventory controls.\nMonitor inventory levels and material consumption to identify replenishment requirements.\nAnalyze inventory positions, usage trends, min/max levels, and Kanban activity to determine required replenishment quantities.\nCommunicate material requirements and recommended order quantities to Purchasing for procurement action.\nMonitor potential material shortages and proactively communicate risks to Manufacturing and Purchasing teams.\nTake an ownership role in cycle counting physical inventory and ensuring inventory accuracy.\nCount and validate materials and supplies in stock and compare balances to inventory records.\nIdentify, research, and recommend corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.\nAssist with inventory reconciliation and inventory process improvement initiatives.\nSupport annual physical inventories, audits, and inventory preparation activities.\nProcess manufacturing scrap and lead efforts to identify opportunities for scrap reduction and improved inventory utilization.\nAnalyze and process obsolete, excess, damaged, or non-conforming materials for disposition.\nSupport warehouse material flow, storage optimization, and inventory organization efforts.\nAssist in maintaining accurate material locations, labeling, and warehouse layout standards.\nAct as a backup for the Materials Handler position as required.\nMaintain a personal workspace that meets 5S standards.\nFollow and reinforce established safety procedures and safe material handling practices.\nUtilize forklifts and other mobile equipment to safely move inventory and materials throughout the facility.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, material flow, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency.\nYOU MUST HAVE:\n1+ years of inventory, materials, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.\n\nExperience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and inventory control activities.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nDemonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong interpersonal skills.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.\n\nWE VALUE:\nForklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.\nExperience working within an ERP system such as SAP.\nExperience with Kanban replenishment systems and inventory management processes.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment.\nFamiliarity with warehouse 5S and continuous improvement
