Support development and stability of the adidas transportation model and ensure expected delivery performance/SLA targets are met or exceeded. This position will focus on the Outbound Director’s implementation of transportation strategic initiatives while supporting and collaborating with other leaders, including the Sr Manager Outbound Transportation.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with Outbound Transportation Leadership to understand business strategic ambitions and support process improvement initiatives\nProvide analytics, reporting and operational insight focused on cost savings and operational efficiency \nSupport implementation of tactical carrier optimization strategies \nAnalyze optimization inputs to drive TMS/nShift accuracy and performance enhancements\nSupport technical integration of carriers in TMS/nShift\nSupport and analyze variances between eCom/Omni and TMS/nShift platforms \nSupports strategic projects & outbound network optimization\nDefine and implement reduced lead-time programs and initiatives in conjunction with the business channels \nTrack and monitor On-Time Delivery and SLA carrier performance\nSupport collaborations on Delivery Promise improvement \nSupport procurement contract negotiations providing relevant data and information \nLeverage and explore opportunities for utilization of AI in both day-to-day and forward-looking activities and objectives\nOther duties as assigned\nKey Relationships:\n\nInternally: Distribution Centers, eCom/Retail/Wholesale Excellence, Store Operations, Customer Service, Order Fulfillment, Customs, SCM Finance\nExternally: 3PL’s, carriers (parcel, LTL, and TL), Customs Broker.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nComplete knowledge of all modes of transportation (IM, LTL, TL and Parcel) \nKnowledge of eCommerce transportation preferred.\nExcellent analytical skills and experience with performance metrics \nTrack record of process improvement\nKnowledge of Supply Chain financial reporting and freight payment processes\nExcellent communication and influencing skills\nSound knowledge of the US distribution industry and transport operations\nAbility to summarize and present key findings to department and cross-functional leadership teams\nIndependent working attitude with little oversight needed\nAbility to take ownership of a project, prioritize effectively, and ultimately drive project through to completion.\nThis position requires a self-motivated independent working mentality to be successful.\nRequisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Analytics from a college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.\nMinimum 2+ years related work experience in the supply chain/logistics industry or supply chain finance (transportation focused)\nAdvanced proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend information effectively to perform the essential functions of the role. \nAt adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week.
