This position is the lead CBR SME for the plant and facilitates all the training and audit functions for the department.\nAssistant Materials Manager Specific Duties and Responsibilities:\nEnsure excellent contact with the customer to maintain positive working relationships and open communication levels\nEnsure all reporting and auditing requirements are meet by contributing to the certification and training of TS16949.\nEnsure data integrity through adequate stock control systems\nParticipate with new launch teams to ensure effective project management of materials and logistics requirements\nSupport a cost-effective Logistics and Inventory strategy.\nDevelop and drive cost reduction initiatives to achieve cost saving targets.\nSupport and contribute to the develop strategy and methods of inventory control\nProactively report on customer and supplier trends\nWork with suppliers to develop plans to ensure they achieve in full- and on-time delivery\nBe an advocate for environmental initiatives, including effective recycling, reduction/elimination of waste to landfill/environmental containments.
