This role is responsible for continuously monitoring and analyzing the methods by which our products are manufactured, with a strong focus on improving quality and reducing costs. The Manufacturing Engineer will assist in planning, conducting, and directing chemical processing activities. In addition, this role will coordinate, train, and guide line technicians in daily processing operations, ensuring consistent execution of best practices.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nEstablish standard operating procedures to control the variable conditions involved in producing salable urethane parts.\nKnowledge of all machine capabilities and raw material characteristics.\nDetermine the most efficient combination of material, process and machine to produce salable urethane parts at least cost.\nRecommends changes to the manufacturing processes methods and procedures to upgrade quality and quantity of products and/or line operating efficiencies.\nCoordinates activities with Production, Production Control, Maintenance and Industrial Engineering to meet Company objectives of lowest cost, highest quality products.\nPrepares necessary economic justification date for recommended equipment or process improvements and evaluates new equipment for possible use to improve quality, cost and line operating efficiencies.\nConducts and/or assists with the evaluation of new materials or processes evaluation of new materials or processes requested\nPerforms special projects as assigned.\nMakes recommendations on materials and processes to improve profitability of manufacturing process.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\n2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably within the automotive industry.\nExperience with line balancing and exposure to fast-paced manufacturing operations.\nFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.\nBackground in PLCs is a plus.\nLean manufacturing training or certification is a plus.\nFamiliarity with the Toyota Production System (TPS) is a plus.\nPRIMARY LOCATION\nAvanzar San Antonio Facility","description_format":"text","description_chars":2313,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-30T17:43:45Z"}],"liveness":{"score":1,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.05,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":477,"expected_fill_days":13,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","evergreen","velocity","win:tail","crowd:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/adient-manufacturing-engineer-5","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/adient-manufacturing-engineer-5.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T01:37:00Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1984,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3016,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
