discrepancies\nManagement Reporting\nPerform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast)\nAnalyze performance by plant/platform\nProvide insights to local leadership\nCreate and distribute management reports\nCost Accounting/Inventory Accounting\nManage inventory valuation and movements\nReconcile physical inventory\nAnalyze inventory variances and losses\nMaintain inventory accounting processes\nFinance\nSupport tax, accruals, and financial controls\nMonitor operational financial performance\nEnsure accurate inventory accounting across plant\n Fixed Assets/Project Accounting\nManage capital expenditures (CapEx)\nTrack projects vs capital asset requests\nDecide on capitalization + CIP settlement\nHandle asset retirements, write-offs\nSupport capital grants and reporting\nSummarize capital expenditure plan for plant > ( Preparation & Authorization)\nInteract with program controller & CBUs for plant to create correct input\nVerify fixed assets inventory and request adjustments\nConsolidation\n Prepare and distribute financial information\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nBuild and review budgets and forecasts\nCollaborate with operations & business units to review profit plans, forecast, and receive & verify budgeting assumptions.\nDevelop planning & budgeting assumptions for the plant\nSupport profit planning\nGeneral\nApply, execute and maintain function related BOS issues\nsafety/ergonomic committees, participating in safety Kaizen events, participating in safety audits and safety observation feedback events.\nComplete safety inspections, employee observations, and monthly safety training as assigned.\nPlant Controller Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required\n8+ years in Accounting/Finance with a strong Manufacturing background.\nStrong preference for: Automotive manufacturing & Plant finance environment.\nFluent in MS Office applications, Advanced in MS Excel. \nExperience with ERP's: SAP and HFM applications preferred.\nStrong understanding of SOX / internal controls\nSoft Skills\nAbility to handle ambiguity and deadlines\nStrong analytical thinking\nEffective communication / presentation
